Lembar (Gili Mas, Lombok Island Indonesia)

Lembar Harbor (port locode IDLBR) is a major Indonesian seaport located on Lombok Island's southwest coast. The Port has shipping facilities and wharves/berths.

Port Lembar is approx 22 km (14 mi) south of Kota Mataram, the capital of Indonesia's West Nusa Tenggara province.

Lembar Harbor is Lombok's principal cruise port. Before the opening of Gili Mas (October 2019), larger cruise ships were received at the anchorage sites, and their passengers were ferried to the docks by tender boats.

Gili Mas Cruise Port (Lombok)

The 2019-opened Gili Mas is a modern cruise port and dedicated maritime terminal in Labuan Tereng. Despite its name, it is not one of the famous "Gili" islands, but rather a deepwater pier near Lembar Harbor designed to accommodate large passenger ships.

Gili Mas Port serves predominantly international cruise ship tourists, offering convenient shore excursions across Lombok. From Gili Mas Port, Mataram City is a 45-minute drive, Senggigi Beach is about 1 hour away, and Lombok Airport is roughly 1 hour away.

Gili Mas Cruise Port features a 440-meter pier where large ships can dock directly. Its spacious air-conditioned terminal building has currency exchange, clean restrooms, and local MSME vendors selling handicrafts like Songket woven fabrics and pearls

Shore Excursions: Passengers commonly take day trips to the Sade and Sukarare traditional weaving villages, visit the scenic Merese Hill, or head to the "Secret Gilis" islands (Nanggu, Sudak, and Kedis) for snorkeling, which are only a 15 to 20-minute drive and boat ride away.

In 2013, Lembar Harbor reported gross tonnage of handled cargo ships around 4,3 million GT-tons. This was an increase of 72% over 2012.

Senggigi

Senggigi is a major tourist destination, stretching from the beachfront to the north of Mataram.

The salty waterfall (at the end of Nambung Beach) is reached by using a traditional boat or by walking on sand and rocks. Another tourist destination is the grave of Makam Batu Layar (Muslim saint). Pura Batu Bolong (Hindu temple with 14 altars on a rock on the beach) is also visited by worshippers.

Senggigi Beach is a spit of sand that stretches out from central Senggigi. Sometimes the beach is a little dirty, the hawkers are a nuisance, and Senggigi Beach Resort has snatched most of the land. A pathway has been built around the peninsula and can be a nice promenade. 

Lombok Island

Lombok Island is roughly circular, with Sekotong Peninsula to the southwest, approx 70 km (43 mi) from Lembar. The island has total area approx 4514 km2 (1743 mi2) and population over 3,3 million.

Tourism is among the island's most important sources of income. Lombok's west coast is the most developed tourism area with modern facilities. This region is centered around Senggigi. The west coast tourist area features over 30 km (19 mi) of coastline paralleled by a coastal road running between Mataram and Ampenan.

This well-developed tourism region extends to Tanjung (northwest), near Mt Rinjani. It also includes the peninsulas Sire and Medana and the Gili Islands (located very close offshore). The three Gili Islands are usually accessed by tour boats leaving from Bangsal, Teluk Nare or Senggigi.

This part of Lombok has numerous hotels and seaside resorts ranging from budget-affordable to top-luxury. Fast-boat services run regularly from Bali Island to Lombok, with direct connections to Gili Islands.

Among Lombok's other main tourist destinations are Mt Rinjani, Gili Bidara, Gili Lawang, the parks Narmada and Mayura, Kuta (popular with its white sand beaches) and Sekotong (popular scuba diving location).

Lombok's southern parts are considered among the world's best surfing locations. The surfing season runs between late March and late September. Among the most popular sites is Desert Point (at the island's southwestern tip).

At the northwestern coast (near Tanjung and the Gili islands) are located many of the island's luxury resorts and villas. A new boat/yacht marina was built at Medana Bay.

The island's two premium golf courses are also here - Lombok Golf Kosaido Country Club (near Pamenang) and GEC Rinjani Country Club (west of Mataram City).

Kerandangan Beach is a popular spot for Lombok residents who go there to wander about or sit on the grassy area behind the warungs and on the sandy beach. People often swim in the sea and then eat satay and other snacks prepared by the villagers.
