Ovation Of The Seas cabins and suites

Ovation Of The Seas staterooms (2,091 total) include 129 Suites, 1,436 Balcony, 148 Oceanview, and 378 Inside cabins (including Virtual Balcony), as well as 28 Studios (Balcony and Interior). Most cabins measure 180–200 ft2 (17–19 m2). Most cabin balconies are approximately 55 ft2 (5 m2). The largest accommodation is the Royal Loft Suite (1,660 ft2 / 152 m2 plus a 620 ft2 / 58 m2 wraparound terrace). The ship offers a total of 37 cabin categories, including the “Guaranteed” categories (W-Suite, X-Balcony, Y-Oceanview, Z-Inside).

The cruise ship has a total of 22 handicap staterooms (ADA-certified, wheelchair-accessible cabins) across the following categories: Junior Suite (2), Oceanview (8), and Inside (12).

• Disabled cabins offer the following special amenities: open bed frames, wider cabin and bathroom doors, increased turning space, lowered vanity (sitting area), lowered closet rods, and accessible bathrooms with roll-in showers, fold-down shower benches, grab bars, hand-held showerheads, lowered sinks, and raised toilets. Passengers booked in handicap-category staterooms are required to complete the “Guest Special Needs Form”.
• All handicap cabins are conveniently located near the ship’s elevators.
• All public restrooms onboard are equipped with accessible stalls and automatic doors. All decks are served by elevators, and all dining venues, bars, and lounges provide wheelchair access and designated seating.

Smoking in suites, cabins, and on their balconies is strictly prohibited.

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class ships are designed with cabins that are, on average, approximately 9% larger than Oasis-class accommodations. Of all Ovation OTS staterooms, 82% are outside cabins, 72% feature balconies, and 18% are interior.

Below is the review of RCI Ovation of the Seas staterooms, including amenities, furniture, and services. Furniture details can be viewed on the cabin plans shown above.

All Suites feature Royal King-size beds, large bathrooms (with whirlpool bathtubs and separate showers), vanity areas, walk-in closets, and spacious living rooms with Queen-size double sofabeds, dining areas or pantries, wet and dry bars, kitchens, and dining tables. All suites have step-out balconies with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, whirlpool bathtubs, sun loungers, and deckchairs. Guests staying in all Suites (excluding Junior Suites) enjoy additional perks, including Concierge Service with 24-hour Concierge Lounge access (continental breakfast, hors d’oeuvres, CD/DVD library, private event arrangements) and priority services such as spa and salon reservations, shore excursion bookings, and dining reservations.

Loft Suites are duplex accommodations spanning two decks, with the balcony on the lower level and the bedroom on the upper level. These suites include one bedroom, two bathrooms, a living and dining area (double sofabed, pantry, wet bar, dry bar, kitchen, 4–8 seat dining table, and premium lounge chairs), a media room, a full bathroom (bathtub, shower, bidet, double-sink vanity), and a balcony furnished with a dining area, padded sun loungers, and deckchairs with low tables.

Owner’s Suites feature a separate bedroom (two twin beds convertible to a double), a full bathroom (bathtub, double-sink vanity, separate shower), a second half bathroom (toilet and single-sink washbasin), a living area (four-seat dining table and double sofabed), and a wraparound balcony with a four-seat dining table and padded sun loungers.

Grand Suites are available in two configurations: 1-Bedroom and 2-Bedroom (Family). The larger Family Grand Suite offers two separate bedrooms (both with convertible double beds), a living room (double sofabed and media center), two bathrooms (both with single-sink vanities, one with a glass shower and one with a bathtub), and a wraparound balcony with a four-seat dining table and padded sun loungers. The smaller Grand Suite includes a full bathroom (bathtub and two separate single-sink vanities with a second entrance to the living room), a living area (double sofabed and media center), and a balcony with a two-seat dining table and two padded deckchairs.

Junior Suites feature a combined living and sleeping area (two twin beds convertible to a double and a double sofabed), a full bathroom with bathtub, and a large balcony with two padded sun loungers. The vestibule can be connected to a Studio Inside or Studio Oceanview cabin. Spa Junior Suites feature split bathrooms with a bathtub and a separate glass-walled shower allowing natural light, plus a second half bathroom with toilet and sink.

All Balcony staterooms and suites are equipped with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening onto a private step-out verandah.

Most Oceanview cabins feature a Picture Window (round-shaped, 24-inch / 61 cm diameter). Oceanview cabins on Deck 3 each have two small, round, non-opening porthole windows.

A unique Royal Caribbean accommodation type is the “Interior Virtual Balcony”. These staterooms feature an 80-inch (2 m) floor-to-ceiling 4K ultra-HD LED screen (without TV functions) that displays real-time live video from the ship’s exterior cameras, providing simulated balcony views without the cost of a traditional balcony cabin.

Royal Caribbean Studios (single-occupancy cabins) do not require a single supplement and are designed specifically for solo travelers. Available RCI Studio categories include SI-Studio Inside (with Virtual Balcony), SO-Studio Oceanview, and SB-Studio Balcony. Studio cabin sizes range from 100–200 ft2 (9–19 m2).

All Ovation OTS cabins include standard complimentary amenities such as two twin beds (convertible to Royal King), ample closet and drawer space, en-suite bathrooms (WC, shower, single-sink vanity, hairdryer, and bath products), sitting areas (desk, drawers, vanity, couch or convertible sofabed), smart HDTVs (infotainment system with Internet and on-demand movies), individual air-conditioning, direct-dial phones, electronic safes, lifejackets (stored in the closet), radios, minibars, Internet access, 24-hour room service (5:00 am–12:00 am, complimentary), European and US/UK electrical outlets, and USB charging points. Twin beds measure 36 x 82 inches (90 x 210 cm).

Most staterooms are equipped with either a double sofabed or Pullman bunk beds to accommodate a third or fourth guest. All twin beds are convertible to Royal King.

In-cabin babysitting is available for an hourly fee (US$19 per child), with a maximum of four children per stateroom. For in-cabin use, movies, toys, and games suitable for children with autism can be borrowed.

Among the technologies implemented fleetwide on Royal Caribbean ships are RFID wristbands, known as WOWbands. These optional wristbands can replace traditional SeaPass cards and allow guests to make onboard purchases, access cabins, and use casino services. WOWbands are made of silicone, available in several colors (black, blue, white, yellow), and can be reused on other Royal Caribbean ships with reprogramming. They were first introduced on Quantum OTS as a complimentary amenity for all guests; later, RCI introduced a US$5 charge for WOWbands (available at Guest Services). Guests staying in Junior Suites and higher categories receive WOWbands complimentary, placed in their cabins.

Royal Suite Class cabins

The “Royal Suite Class” booking category (suite accommodations only) offers Royal Caribbean’s most premium all-inclusive cruise experience. Benefits include 24-hour personal butler (Royal Genie) service, all-inclusive beverages, included gratuities, complimentary Internet, exclusive Coastal Kitchen dining access, unlimited thermal suite access, and exclusive access to Barefoot Beach, the private suite-only beach at Labadee (the line’s private destination in Haiti).

Royal Suite Class bookings are available fleetwide across all Royal Caribbean ships and are divided into three service levels.

Sea Class cabins

This class includes all Junior Suite categories, including Family, Spa, and connecting Junior Suites. Sea Class benefits include luxury bottled water, premium-brand bath amenities (Hermes, Ferragamo, L’Occitane), and Memory Foam Pillow Top mattresses. Sea Class guests also enjoy complimentary suite-exclusive dining at Coastal Kitchen (dinner only).

Sky Class cabins

Sky Class includes AquaTheater, Crown Loft, Owner’s, Royal Family, Superior Grand, and Grand Suites. Benefits include unlimited Suite Lounge access, luxury bath products, Memory Foam Pillow Top mattresses, unlimited thermal suite access, complimentary Internet, luxury bottled water, in-room dining, exclusive access to the suite-only private sundeck (Suite Sun Zone), and reserved VIP seating at both the Royal Theater and AquaTheater. Sky Class guests also enjoy complimentary suite-exclusive dining at Coastal Kitchen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Star Class cabins

Star Class includes Royal Loft, Owner’s Loft, 4-Bedroom Family, Grand Loft, Sky Loft, and 2-Bedroom AquaTheater Suites. In addition to all Sky Class amenities, Star Class guests receive complimentary fitness classes, in-cabin movies, minibar items, specialty restaurant dining, exclusive access to the Suite Sun Zone, reserved VIP theater seating, the Royal Caribbean “Ultimate Beverage” unlimited drink package, and 24-hour Royal Genie (butler) service. Royal Genies are certified by the British Butler Institute and assist with reservations, in-cabin dining, laundry and pressing, luggage handling, and packing and unpacking. Star Class guests also enjoy complimentary dining at the suite-exclusive Coastal Kitchen restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Note: Complimentary suite-only dining at the Coastal Kitchen specialty restaurant is available only to guests booked in the same suite. Invited guests not staying in the same accommodation are required to pay the restaurant’s cover charge.
