Navigator Of The Seas cabins review

Navigator of the Seas has 1674 staterooms, including 119 Suites, 671 Balcony, 232 OceanView, 138 Promenade View, and 514 Inside cabins (including Virtual Balcony). Most staterooms measure 150–160 ft² (14–15 m²), and most balconies measure 50 ft² (5 m²). The largest accommodation is the Royal Suite (1090 ft² / 101 m² plus a 215 ft² / 20 m² terrace with Jacuzzi).

The ship has 27 handicap-accessible (ADA-certified) cabins across the following categories: Junior Suite (2), Balcony (8), OceanView (7), Promenade View (1), and Inside (9). There are 38 total cabin categories, including the “Guaranteed” categories W-Suite, X-Balcony, Y-Oceanview, and Z-Inside.

During the 2019 Royal Amplified drydock, new Interior and Balcony staterooms were added, and new family cabin categories were introduced: CB (Connecting Balcony), CO (Connecting Oceanview), CP (Connecting Promenade View Interior), and CI (Connecting Interior).

Below is the review of Navigator of the Seas accommodations, including amenities, furnishings, and services.

All Suites feature a king bed; large bathroom (whirlpool tub and separate shower); vanity area; walk-in closet; and a spacious living area with queen sofabed, dining/pantry area, wet bar, kitchen, and dining table. Each Suite has a private balcony with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, whirlpool tub, and sun loungers. Guests in all Suites (except Junior Suites) enjoy exclusive amenities such as Concierge Service (24-hour Lounge access, continental breakfast, hors d’oeuvres, CD/DVD library, private events), and priority services (Salon/Spa reservations, shore excursion bookings, dining reservations).

Royal Suites feature two separate bedrooms (each with two twin beds convertible to a Queen), an additional room with bunk beds (for 3rd/4th guests), and an extended balcony with whirlpool and premium lounge furniture. Additional Royal Suite amenities include a media center (surround sound, large HDTV, stereo, CD/DVD player) and a baby grand piano.

Owner’s Suites include a queen bed, walk-in closet, large bathroom (separate bathtub and shower), spacious living room (double sofabed, dining area, bar, fridge), and a media center.

The GT Two-Bedroom Grand Suite (formerly Royal Family Suite) has two separate bedrooms (each with twin beds convertible to Queen), a guest bedroom (two lower single beds convertible plus two bunk beds), a living room (vanity, double sofabed, dining table, dresser, sofa), and one bathroom (shower). Grand and Junior Suites have twin beds (convertible), walk-in closets, larger bathrooms (bathtub and shower), and large living rooms (desk, drawers, vanity, sofabed, chairs).

All Balcony cabins feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to a private veranda. On Navigator of the Seas, balconies on decks 7 and above have plexiglass railings, while deck 6 balconies have steel railings. All port and starboard balconies are in-hull designs, with solid metal rising 3 ft (1 m) from the deck and open railing above. Aft balconies have larger metal structures and are generally warmer on cold-weather itineraries. Side balconies offer better views, while midship balconies are more enclosed. The mid-aft section is “humped” (wider), and cabins on the outer part of this hump are premium locations.

You can save money by booking a forward or aft cabin in the same category. Their size and amenities are identical to midship cabins but priced lower.

Categories VP (Oceanview Suite), 1K (Ultra-Spacious Oceanview), and 1L (Panoramic Oceanview) are bow-facing, family-style cabins that accommodate up to 6 passengers—an economical alternative to booking connecting staterooms. Each includes two large round picture windows (non-opening), a separate bedroom (with Pullman beds), large living area (double sofabed, two lower single beds convertible to Queen), and an enlarged bathroom (shower/bathtub). These cabins have excellent unobstructed views and are often cheaper than balconies.

Oceanview Suites have floor-to-ceiling windows (76 in high x 100–320 in wide / 1.9 m x 2.5–8 m), offering premium family accommodations. Each includes two twin beds (convertible to a double), a large living area (desk, drawers, vanity, double sofabed), ample closet space, and a bathroom (WC/shower).

Standard Oceanview cabins have either a porthole window (round, 24 in / 61 cm) or rounded picture windows. Forward Oceanviews feature two round windows overlooking the bow.

Atrium Promenade staterooms (category 2T Promenade View, formerly PR) are unique interior cabins with bowed windows overlooking the Royal Promenade. The bowed window adds interior space and provides a vantage point for watching Royal Promenade activities, including nightly parades. Guests should keep curtains closed at night, as Promenade-facing cabins are opposite each other.

Royal Caribbean’s “Interior Virtual Balcony” staterooms feature an 80-inch (2 m) floor-to-ceiling LED screen displaying real-time video from exterior cameras, offering “balcony views” at interior-cabin pricing. The screen is 4K ultra-HD and does not include TV functions.

All Navigator of the Seas cabins include: two twin beds (convertible to Queen), ample closet/drawer space, private bathroom (shower, hairdryer, bath products), sitting area (desk, drawers, vanity, sofa), smart HDTV (infotainment system, Internet, on-demand movies), individual air-conditioning, direct-dial phone, electronic safe, lifejackets (in closet), radio, minibar, Internet access, and 24-hour room service (complimentary from 5 am–12 am).

Some staterooms have a sofabed or Pullman bunk beds for 3rd/4th guests. Twin bed size is 36 x 82 in (90 x 210 cm).

In-cabin babysitting is available for a fee (USD 19 per child per hour) for up to 4 children per stateroom. Movies, toys, and games suitable for children with autism can be borrowed for in-cabin use.

Royal Caribbean’s upgraded Wi-Fi service costs USD 15 per device per day (50% discount for a second device). The Wi-Fi is shipwide, always active, and fast enough for streaming.
