Spectrum Of The Seas staterooms (2137 total) include 142 Suites, 1487 Balcony, 142 Oceanview, and 366 Inside (including Virtual Balcony), as well as 28 Studios (Balcony and Interior). Most cabins are sized 180-200 ft2 / 17-19 m2. Most cabin balconies are sized 55 ft2 / 5 m2. The largest is the Ultimate Family Suite (2350 ft2 / 218 m2 plus a 460 ft2 / 43 m2 wraparound terrace). The total number of cabin categories is 35, including the "Guaranteed" categories (W-Suite, X-Balcony, Y-Oceanview, Z-Inside).

The cruise ship has a total of 41 handicap staterooms (ADA-certified, wheelchair-accessible cabins) in the following categories: Junior Suite (6), Balcony (12), Oceanview (12), and Inside (11).

  • Accessible cabins offer the following special amenities: open bed frames, wider cabin and bathroom doors, increased turning space, lowered vanity (sitting area), lowered closet rods, and accessible bathrooms (roll-in shower, fold-down shower bench, grab bars, hand-held showerhead, lowered sink, raised toilet). Passengers booked in handicap-category staterooms must complete the "Guest Special Needs Form".
  • All handicap cabins are conveniently located near the ship's elevators.
  • All public restrooms onboard have accessible stalls and automatic door systems. All decks are served by elevators. All onboard dining venues, bars, and lounges provide wheelchair access and seating.

Smoking is forbidden in all Suites/cabins and on their balconies.

Royal Caribbean's Quantum-class liners are designed with cabins approximately 9% larger (on average) compared to Oasis-class accommodations. Of all Spectrum OTS staterooms, 82% are outside, 72% have balconies, and 18% are interior.

Below is a review of RCI Spectrum of the Seas staterooms, including amenities, furniture, and services. Furniture details can be seen on the cabin plans shown above.

All Suites feature King-size beds, large bathrooms (whirlpool bathtub, separate shower), vanity area, walk-in closets, and spacious living rooms (Queen-size double sofabed, dining area/pantry, wet bar, dry bar, kitchen, dining table). Suites also include step-out balconies (sliding floor-to-ceiling doors, whirlpool bathtub, sun loungers, deckchairs). Guests staying in Suites (excluding Junior Suites) enjoy additional amenities, including Concierge Service (24-hour Concierge Lounge access with continental breakfast, hors d'oeuvres, CD/DVD library, private party arrangements, and priority services for Salon/Spa reservations, booking RCI cruise tours/excursions, and dining reservations).

Category US (Ultimate Family Suite) is a new cabin type (11-passenger, 2-bedroom, 2-deck) Royal Loft Suite featuring an exclusive in-cabin slide from the kids' bedroom (upper level) to the living room (lower level), a floor-to-ceiling LEGO wall, air-hockey table, two hanging egg-swing chairs, a separate TV room (3D cinema, popcorn machine, media library, video gaming consoles with games), and a large wraparound balcony (with bumper pool table, small climbing wall, and full-size whirlpool).

Spectrum is Royal Caribbean's first liner with an exclusive Suites-only complex. The enclave is located forward on decks 13, 15, and 16 and consists of Golden- and Silver-category Suites grouped within a private complex. Golden and Silver suite passengers receive exclusive keycard access, a private lift, and an exclusive restaurant and bar-lounge. Suite-exclusive amenities also include access to "The Balcony" (a private sundeck area on Deck 16) and "The Boutique" (a VIP shopping area on Deck 15 offering information and booking for private/customized shopping tours ashore).

Loft Suites are duplex apartments (family-type maisonette staterooms) on two decks, with the balcony on the lower level and the bedroom on the upper level. Loft Suites feature one bedroom, two bathrooms, a living/dining room (double sofabed, pantry, wet bar, dry bar, kitchen, 4-8 seat dining table, premium lounge chairs), a media room (sofa), a full bathroom (bathtub, shower, bidet, two-sink vanity), and a balcony (dining area, padded sun loungers, and deckchairs with low tables).

Owner Suites have a separate bedroom (two twin beds convertible to a double), a full bathroom (bathtub, two-sink vanity, separate shower), a second half-bathroom (toilet/single-sink washbasin), a living area (four-seat dining table, double sofabed), and a wraparound balcony (four-seat dining table and padded sun loungers).

Grand Suites are available in two types (1-Bedroom and 2-Bedroom/Family). The larger Family Grand Suite has two separate bedrooms (both with convertible double beds), a living room (double sofabed, media center), two separate bathrooms (both with single-sink vanities, one with a glass shower and one with a bathtub), and a wraparound balcony (four-seat dining table and padded sun loungers). The smaller Grand Suite features a full bathroom (bathtub, two separate single-sink vanities, and a second entrance to the living room), a living area (double sofabed, media center), and a balcony (two-seat dining table and two padded deckchairs).

Junior Suites feature a combined living and sleeping area (two twin beds convertible to a double and a double sofabed), a full bathroom (bathtub), and a large balcony (two padded sun loungers). The vestibule can be connected with a Studio Inside or Oceanview cabin. Spa Junior Suites have split bathrooms (bathtub and separate shower with a glass wall allowing daylight inside) plus a second half-bathroom (toilet and sink).

All Balcony staterooms/suites have floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to a private step-out verandah.

Most Oceanview cabins have a Picture Window (round-shaped window, 24-inch / 61 cm in diameter). Deck 3 Oceanviews each have two porthole windows (round, small, and non-opening).

A unique Royal Caribbean cabin type is the "Interior Virtual Balcony". These staterooms feature a floor-to-ceiling LED screen (80-inch / 2 m). The 4K ultra-HD screen (without TV functions) receives real-time live video streaming from the ship's external cameras, allowing guests to enjoy "balcony views" without paying for a higher-priced cabin with an actual balcony.

Royal Caribbean's Studios (single cabins) are cruise staterooms without a single supplement. These studios are designed for passengers traveling solo. Available RCI cabin categories are SI-Studio Inside (with virtual balcony), SO-Studio Oceanview, and SB-Studio Balcony. Studio cabin sizes range between 100-200 ft2 (9-19 m2).

All Spectrum OTS cabins offer the following standard amenities: two twin beds (convertible to Royal King), ample closet and drawer space, en-suite bathroom (WC-toilet, shower, single-sink vanity, hairdryer, bath products), sitting area (desk, drawers, vanity, couch/convertible sofabed), smart HDTV (infotainment system, Internet access, on-demand movies), individual air-conditioning, direct-dial phone, electronic safe box, lifejackets (stored in the closet), radio, minibar, Internet access, and 24-hour room service (5-12 am complimentary). Cabins also feature European and US/UK electrical outlets, USB charging ports, and individual climate control. Twin beds measure 36 x 82 inches (90 x 210 cm).

Most staterooms include either a double sofabed or bunk beds (Pullman beds) for a third or fourth passenger. Twin beds measure 36 x 82 inches (90 x 210 cm) and are convertible to Royal King.

In-cabin babysitting is available for an hourly fee (US$19 per child) for up to four children per stateroom. Movies, toys, and games suitable for children with autism can also be borrowed for in-cabin use.

Among the technologies implemented on Royal Caribbean ships are RFID wristbands (WOWBands). These optional wristbands replace the traditional SeaPass cards and allow passengers to make onboard purchases (shopping, drinks, dining, casino) and access their cabins. WOWBands are made of silicone, available in different colors (black, blue, white, yellow), and can also be used on other Royal Caribbean ships (after reprogramming). They were first introduced on Quantum OTS as a complimentary amenity for all guests. Subsequently, RCI began charging US$5 for WOWBands (available at the Guest Services desk). Junior Suite and above passengers receive them free of charge (placed in envelopes in the cabins).
