HAL-Holland America fall 2021 cruises from San Diego CA and Fort Lauderdale FL

HAL-Holland America Line is expected to restart cruising from Port San Diego California beginning with cruises to Hawaii, Mexico, and along the California coast aboard ms Koningsdam and ms Zuiderdam.

The Carnival Corporation-owned company has expanded the season with additional 6 departures for Zuiderdam and 2 for Koningsdam, offering a total of 40 roundtrips from San Diego between September 2021 - April 2022.

With the resumption of USA West Coast service, HAL is also looking toward cruising in the Caribbean with 4 ships. All sailing roundtrip from Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), the season starts on October 23, 2021, with ms Nieuw Amsterdam. The liner will be joined by the new ms Rotterdam on November 3, ms Eurodam on November 14, and ms Nieuw Statendam on November 21. Caribbean voyages range from 4 to 14 days, and all visit the private Bahamian island Half Moon Cay.

  • Highlights of the 2021-2022 San Diego CA cruise season include:

ms Zuiderdam: September 18, 2021 - April 22, 2022: 17 voyages from San Diego CA - 8 Mexico, 4 California coast, 3 Hawaii, and 2 Panama Canal.

ms Koningsdam: October 10, 2021 - April 3, 2022: 23 voyages from San Diego CA - 15 Mexico, 6 California coast, and 2 Hawaii cruises.

7-day journeys along the California coast include a brand new itinerary that visits Santa Catalina Island CA (Avalon, California), Santa Barbara, and San Francisco CA for a late evening stay, together with Ensenada in Mexico. Additional "Classic California Coast" sailings include California calls at Avalon, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco, as well as at Ensenada.

A new 21-day Panama Canal voyage on ms Nieuw Amsterdam from Seattle WA to Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades, Florida) departs October 2 and includes visits to San Diego CA, Puerto Vallarta Mexico, Panama City (Fuerte Amador) Panama, Oranjestad Aruba, Half Moon Cay.

All 7-day "Mexican Riviera" sailings feature 3 Mexican ports of call: Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta.

"Mexico and Sea of Cortez" itineraries are between 9 and 12 days and visit a combination of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Guaymas, Cabo San Lucas, Topolobampo, Pichilingue (La Paz), Loreto Mexico.

"Circle Hawaii" voyages are 17 or 18 days and visit the Hawaiian ports of Hilo, Honolulu, Lahaina, Kona, Nawiliwili, and Ensenada.

A couple of 14-day Panama Canal cruises from San Diego CA to Fort Lauderdale FL on ms Zuiderdam depart on January 2 and January 30, 2022.

  • Highlights of the 2021-2022 Caribbean cruise season include:

ms Nieuw Amsterdam: October 23, 2021 - April 7, 2022: 24 voyages to the eastern, western, southern Caribbean. All itineraries are 7 days except a 9-day holiday trip departing December 30.

ms Rotterdam: November 3, 2021 - April 10, 2022: The ship kicks off her maiden season in the Caribbean with a series of 22 voyages, ranging from 3 to 11 days covering a wide offering of ports in the Caribbean.

ms Eurodam: November 14, 2021 - April 10, 2022: 15 departures, including twelve 10- and 11-day Panama Canal Sunfarer voyages featuring a partial Panama Canal exploration of Gatun Lake and a trio of 7-day eastern Caribbean itineraries.

ms Nieuw Statendam: November 21, 2021 - March 27, 2022: 15 voyages to the eastern, western, southern, tropical Caribbean ranging from 7 to 11 days.

All itineraries include a visit to Half Moon Cay, Holland America's private island in the Bahamas.
