Dendera Temple complex is a Nile River cruise port and an Ancient Egyptian archeological site located approx 3 km (2 mi) southeast of the town of Dendera (Upper Egypt). It is approx 5 km (3 mi) south of Qena (on Nile's opposite side) and also south of Abydos and north of Luxor (approx 60 km / 37 mi, Dendera is one of Egypt's best-preserved temple complexes.

The complex has a total area of approx 4 hectares (10 acres) enclosed by a mud-brick wall. The complex includes Hathor temple (main / aka Temple of Tentyra), Temple of the birth of Isis, Sacred Lake, Sanatorium, Christian Basilica, Roman Kiosk.
