Emerald Princess cabins review
Emerald Princess cabins with balconies number 881 (80% of the 1103 outside rooms). Wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) total 31, including 1 suite, 4 mini-suites, 16 balcony cabins, 4 oceanview, and 6 inside cabins.
Below is the review of Emerald Princess staterooms, including amenities, furniture, and complimentary services:
Suites feature a walk-in closet (ample storage), living room (sofa bed, desk), vanity, table, armchairs, and bathroom with WC, shower stall, whirlpool bathtub, and double sinks.
Family Suites consist of three connected rooms, with the living room in the center. Both bedrooms offer ample closet space, bathrooms (shower, bathtub), desk, and drawer. The living room includes a sofa bed and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to a large balcony.
Bonus amenities in all Suites include deluxe mattress and pillows, two smart HDTVs, CD/DVD player, upgraded bathroom products (massage showerheads, luxury toiletries), luxury balcony furniture, and complimentary services such as Spa Thermal Suite access, Internet Café use, laundry/dry cleaning, and a one-time stocked minibar.
Balcony accommodations have floor-to-ceiling sliding doors leading to a private verandah furnished with a round table and patio chairs.
Balcony cabins provide ample closet space, bathroom with shower, desk, and drawer. Some also offer additional beds for a 3rd or 4th passenger.
Oceanview cabins include a picture window (category OE with a Porthole Window, category OV with an obstructed view).
Inside cabins are the same size and layout as Oceanview rooms but without a window.
All Emerald Princess cabins include a living area (vanity, desk, seating), two twin beds convertible to a queen, deluxe bedding (Egyptian cotton linens), closet, smart HDTV (infotainment system with Internet and on-demand movies), direct-dial phone, electronic safe (in the closet, along with lifejackets), hairdryer, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion), mini-bar/refrigerator, individually controlled air-conditioning, evening turndown service, and complimentary 24-hour room service.
During her 2019 drydock, all Emerald Princess staterooms were fitted with the new signature “Princess Luxury Bed,” developed with Dr. Michael Breus (“The Sleep Doctor”) and designer Candice Olson. These feature a luxury pillow-top mattress, individually wrapped coils (reducing surface sway), and hypoallergenic duvets.
Club Class Mini-Suite is a premium cabin category introduced fleetwide by September 2017. These VIP Mini-Suites offer exclusive amenities and services, including “Club Class Dining,” access to the Elite Lounge, complimentary in-cabin hors d’oeuvres, and priority embarkation, disembarkation, and tendering. Club Class Dining features a private section of the main dining room with expedited seating, dedicated waitstaff, an exclusive menu (with chef’s specials), and tableside preparation of select dishes. It is available daily for breakfast and dinner, plus lunch on sea days. These cabins replace certain mini-suites, though size and layout remain the same as standard Mini-Suites.
