Viking Tellus deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2020-2021-2022 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Viking Ocean (Viking Cruises) deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the Viking Tellus cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Viking Tellus staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
MV Viking Tellus (built 2021) is the 8th of all ten (same class) Viking Ocean Cruises ships, with fleetmates Star (2015), Sea (2016), Sky and Sun (2017), Orion (2018), Jupiter (2019), Venus (2021), TBN1 (2022) and TBN2 (2023). Vessel design was specifically developed for Viking Ocean's revolutionary "small ship travel" all-inclusive vacation concept that combines the "excursions-inclusive river cruising" experience with "affordable luxury" cruise vacation product.
Viking Tellus cruise ship deck plan has a total of 465 staterooms for 930 passengers served by 470 crew/staff, 9 passenger decks (of which 6 with cabins), 2 swimming pools (1 infinity pool, 1 covered with retractable roof), 2 Jacuzzi hot tubs, 6 elevators (2 of which are panoramic /with glass walls). This is an adults-only ship (min age requirement 16 yo) without dedicated kids facilities or programs.
This is the world's 2nd ship (after Cunard's liner RMS Queen Mary 2) with onboard planetarium (named "Explorers' Dome"). The theatre-like venue is circular and has capacity 26 seats. It uses the latest video technology to show constellations and other space-related videos. The Dome is located forward on top-deck (facing the Explorers' Lounge).
On all Viking Tellus decks with cabins, there is a launderette (free of charge passenger-use laundromats). These are self-service laundry rooms equipped with ironing boards, washers and dryers. Detergent is provided (also complimentary).
Next YouTube video is a Viking Ocean cruise ship review (by Jim Zimmerlin). It shows all the ship's main onboard facilities and also provides information on most amenities.
Viking Ocean’s Tellus ship and her sisters are new generation cruise liners implementing some of the industry’s top maritime technologies. Among those are the energy-saving hybrid engines (diesel generators and gas turbines), optimized hulls and bulbous bows for max fuel efficiency. All Viking Cruises ocean ships as design also feature the common for the line’s longships solar panels (installed on the Magradome pool cover) additionally minimizing the vessel’s exhaust pollution.
Like the sisterships, Viking Tellus offers an intimate boutique hotel-like feel with its signature decor (Scandinavian-themed), luxury fabrics, spacious lounges with classy leather furniture, gourmet cuisine, unique art collection. Like all Viking Ocean ships, Tellus offers longer cruise itineraries (with few sea days), plenty of daily scheduled organized onboard activities, several overnight ports' stays, selection of premium tours (offered complimentary in each port of call). Unlike most new cruise ships, all Viking Ocean liners lack casino (gambling lounge and bar).
