Viking unveils 3 new summer season expedition cruises in the Arctic

Viking EXPEDITIONS announced 3 new Arctic voyages for summer 2025 season. Starting in July 2025, these itineraries, ranging from 13 to 27 days, offer explorations of Canada and Greenland in the polar north, with two of the three voyages visiting the Canadian High Arctic.

The first itinerary, "Into the Northwest Passage" is a 13-day roundtrip from Nuuk Greenland. It takes guests to remarkable destinations such as the pristine waters of the Ilulissat Icefjord and the eastern entrance of the renowned Northwest Passage in Pond Inlet, Canada. Travelers can immerse themselves in Inuit traditions, witness stunning natural beauty, and partake in activities like kayaking or Zodiac landings. This voyage offers a chance to discover undiscovered territories under the midnight sun, with sailing dates available from July through September 2025.

The second itinerary, the 15-day "Canada & Greenland Explorer" operates between Toronto Ontario Canada and Nuuk. Travelers on this awe-inspiring journey will explore the rugged shores of Canada and Greenland, surrounded by drifting icebergs and dramatic landscapes. They will have the opportunity to learn about Inuit traditions in remote communities and experience the stark beauty of the Arctic. Sailing dates for this itinerary are available in July and September 2025.

The 27-day "Canada & the Northwest Passage" itinerary (between Nuuk and Toronto) showcases the majesty of floating icebergs, rugged lands, and deep-blue fjords rich in marine life. Guests will gain insights into Inuit communities and their enduring traditions, while enjoying the endless daylight of the midnight sun. Sailing dates for this voyage are also available in July and September 2025.

In addition to the Arctic expeditions, Viking is providing world cruises between the Great Lakes and the southernmost tip of South America.

Viking Octantis will embark on the 70-day Longitudinal World Cruise III in September 2023, commencing from Milwaukee and concluding in Ushuaia. This extraordinary journey encompasses remarkable travel milestones, including transiting engineering marvels like the Welland and Panama Canals, navigating the Chilean fjords, and reaching Antarctica.

Similarly, Octantis' sistership Viking Polaris will undertake the 71-day "Longitudinal World Cruise II" from Duluth to Ushuaia in September 2023, and the 62-day "Longitudinal World Cruise IV" from Milwaukee to Ushuaia in October 2024.

Additionally, there is a reverse voyage from Buenos Aires to Milwaukee, the 65-day "Longitudinal World Cruise I", which begins in February 2024.
