Wolin (Wollin) is a Baltic Sea cruise port and town on Wolin Island (Poland) with a population of around 5,000. The town is separated from Usedom Island (Germany) by Swina Strait and from mainland Poland by Dziwna Strait.
Wolin Island has a total area approx 265 km2 (102 mi2) and the highest elevation point (Mt Grzywacz). Oder River flows into Szczecin Lagoon and from there into the Baltic Sea (via Pomeranian Bay). Island's scenery is marked by forests and hills. An electrified railway line connects Szczecin with Swinoujscie. The island is also connected to Europe via E65 (running from Malmo Sweden to Chania Crete-Greece) via expressway S3.
