Hohensaaten is an Oder River cruise port and small town in Germany's Brandenburg state (Markisch-Oderland district) with population around 1000. The town is located northeast of Berlin City (Germany's capital) and directly on the Germany-Poland border.
Hohensaaten is linked to the Havel-Oder waterway via two sections - Alte Oder (continuing the Oder-Havel Canal to the east) and Hohensaaten-Friedrichsthaler Wasserstrasse (linked via locks with Oder River). The east sluice connects to Oder's mainstream (which water level is much higher / over 3 m above sea level).
Oder River originates in the Czech Republic and flows approx 740 km (461 mi) through Poland. For 187 km (116 mi) the river forms part of the Oder-Neisse line (Germany-Poland border). Oder River flows into Szczecin Lagoon (north of Szczecin Poland) and then into three river branches (Dziwna, Swina, and Peene) that empty into the Baltic Sea via Pomerania Bay.
As a cruise port, Hohensaaten was included in the 2019 schedules of the riverboats Saxonia (2001-built) and Katharina von Bora (2000-built).
Next tables show both ships' itineraries as ports sequences and port stays (arrival/departure times).
