MSC Meraviglia (2017-built) is the first Meraviglia-class vessel in the MSC Cruises fleet, with sistership MSC Bellissima (2019). Meraviglia is also the first of 13 newbuilds scheduled to join the MSC fleet through 2026.
The MSC Meraviglia deck plan shows 2244 staterooms for 4488 passengers (maximum capacity 5714), served by 1536 crew. The ship has 18 decks (15 accessible to passengers, 11 with cabins), 12 dining venues (restaurants and food bars), 20 lounges and bars, 4 swimming pools (including one glass-domed pool and one MSC Yacht Club pool), 9 Jacuzzis (outdoor whirlpool hot tubs), and 32 elevators (19 for passengers, including two Atrium glass-wall lifts and one MSC Yacht Club lift).
MSC Meraviglia’s decks are named after some of the world's most iconic architectural and historic sites.
These vessels are part of MSC Cruises’ fleet expansion program (total value USD 5.3 billion). All newbuilds under this program (including the MSC Seaside-class ships) double the line’s capacity by 2022, reaching approximately 80,000 passengers per day.
- Dining options include “Butcher’s Cut” (new American steakhouse), a new pastry bar/creperie by celebrity chef Jean Philippe Maury, the new “Kaito Sushi” restaurant, the new “Kaito Teppanyaki” restaurant, and a 20-hour buffet restaurant.
- The four pools include the 25 m / 80 ft Atmosphere Pool, the 10 m / 33 ft indoor Bamboo Pool, and the aft Horizon Pool – the largest open-deck area at sea.
- Weekly, 12 “Cirque du Soleil” acrobatic shows are presented in the dedicated Carousel Lounge. Located aft on Deck 7 (Promenade), the venue seats 120 guests for dinner plus an additional 290 seats for drinks.
- The Balinese Spa complex is an 1100 m2 / 11,840 ft2 wellness facility.
Each Meraviglia- and Meraviglia Plus-class ship is outfitted with 114 interactive screens, 244 information screens, 31 virtual screens, 81 video wall monitors, 3050 iBeacons, 700 wireless access points (WAPs), and 1200 CCTV cameras.
