Le Pecq (Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France)

Le Pecq (port locode FRPQC) is a Seine River cruise port and town in north-central France (Yvelines department, Ile-de-France region), with a population of around 16,000. The town is located in a loop of the river (near Saint-Germain-en-Laye / chateau castle) and in the western suburbs of Paris City (approx 19 km / 11 mi from downtown).

The settlement was founded in the late-7th-century and in early-8th-century was given to Fontenelle Abbey. Town's current economy is based on Lyonnaise des Eaux - a drinking water production company serving over 0,5 million consumers (annual capacity of over 90 million m3). Best-known tourist attractions include two churches (St Wandrille, St Thibault), the railway viaduct (late-19th-century, with stone arches and connected to two tunnels) and Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

As a cruise port, Le Pecq is included in the Viking River Cruises itinerary program of the longships Rinda (built 2013) and Kadlin (built 2016).
