Norwegian Dawn cabins and suites

NCL Dawn cabins for disabled passengers (wheelchair-accessible rooms) are available in the following categories (with deck locations): Family Suite (SJ – deck 12), Balcony (BB – deck 10 and BC – deck 9), Oceanview (OK – deck 8) and Interior/Inside cabins (I1 – decks 9 and 10).

Below is a review of Norwegian Dawn staterooms, including amenities, furniture and included (complimentary) services:

All staterooms feature a sleeping area (bedside tables, two lower beds convertible to a queen-size bed, plus optional additional beds for more guests), an en-suite bathroom (WC, sink, shower stall, bath products, hairdryer, towels), and a lounge/sitting area (wardrobe/ample closet space, vanity table, chair, smart HDTV infotainment system, electronic safe, life jackets stored in the closet, mini-refrigerator, direct-dial phone and individual air conditioning).

Most Suites and all Balcony cabins have floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening onto a private veranda furnished with a table and two chairs (higher-grade Suites may include sun loungers). Complete furniture details can be viewed in the NCL Dawn cabin floor plans linked above.

The Haven Garden Villas feature a roof terrace with private garden and outdoor dining area, whirlpools, private sunbathing and relaxation areas, separate living and dining rooms, three bedrooms (each with private bathroom), a master bathroom (with whirlpool tub and separate shower) and a media center (DVD/CD player). Additional perks include butler service, priority services (check-in, debarkation, tendering), in-room dining with evening treats, special room-service menu, complimentary mini-bar, bottled water, luxury cotton robes, deluxe bedding (pillow-top mattresses, pillow menu, slippers, towels), Cappuccino–Espresso coffee maker, complimentary specialty dining (breakfast and lunch) and complimentary limo service (pier–airport).

• Deluxe Owner Suites have floor-to-ceiling windows (no balcony), a separate bedroom (king bed, walk-in closet), separate living room (with media center), dining room and bathroom (whirlpool tub, shower). They include the same perks as the Garden Villas (except limo service).
• Owner’s Suites feature a separate bedroom (queen bed, walk-in closet), living room (media center), dining room and bathroom (Jacuzzi, whirlpool tub, shower), with the same suite perks. Each Owner’s Suite can be connected to a Mini-Suite or Balcony cabin.
• Two-Bedroom Family Suites (Family Penthouses) include a living room (media center), dining area, separate bedroom (queen bed), bathroom (whirlpool tub, shower) and second bedroom (bath, shower), with the same suite perks.
• SD-Family Suites include a sitting area, sleeping area (queen bed, walk-in closet) and bathroom (bathtub, shower), with the same suite perks.
• SE–SF Penthouses have a sitting area (walk-in closet), sleeping area (queen bed), bathroom (bathtub, shower) and a balcony (open to Deck 13 above), with the same suite perks.
• SJ-Family Suites offer floor-to-ceiling windows (no balcony), a sitting area (double sofa bed, queen bed, walk-in closet) and bathroom (shower), with the same suite perks.
• Mini-Suites (Studio Suites) have a sitting area, two lower beds (convertible), walk-in closet and bathroom (shower).

Most Oceanview categories have a Picture Window, except categories OF and OG (Porthole Windows). Categories OK and OX have obstructed views due to lifeboats.

Since May 2015, Norwegian Cruise Line has charged US$7.95 for room-service dining. This fleetwide surcharge applies to NCL Dawn as well. The only passengers exempt from the fee are guests staying in “The Haven” suites. As an exception, all passengers may still order complimentary morning coffee and Continental Breakfast via room service. After implementing the surcharge, NCL upgraded the room-service menu to include more hot breakfast items and an expanded selection of food and beverages available 24 hours a day.
