Norwegian Viva cabins and suites

Norwegian Viva has a total of 1646 passenger staterooms in 35 categories (including 18 Suite grades). The Haven complex comprises 107 suites. An expanded Studio area accommodates solo travelers with single-occupancy cabins (Studios) and a Studio Lounge, both with exclusive keycard access. The ship has 912 crew/staff cabins.

NCL Viva also offers numerous “Family” stateroom categories, including Balcony, Oceanview, and Interior cabins. The ship has 6 Owner’s Suites, 58 Courtyard Penthouses, 43 Suites, 1030 Balcony staterooms, 124 Oceanviews, 385 Inside cabins, and 73 Studios.

The PRIMA-class design features 18 Suite categories (including the fleet’s first 3-bedroom suites) and the largest Inside, Oceanview, and Balcony staterooms in the NCL fleet.

• The smallest category is T1-Studio (95 ft² / 9 m²). Inside cabins range between 160-255 ft² (15-24 m²).
• Oceanview cabins have a large round window and are available as Standard (185 ft² / 17 m²), Large (235 ft² / 22 m²), and Family (235-370 ft² / 22-34 m²).
• Balcony staterooms range between 230-270-360 ft² (21-25-34 m²), with balcony sizes between 45-70-100 ft² (4-7-9 m²).
• The largest accommodation is The Haven Premier Owner’s Suite (capacity 8 passengers) measuring 2100 ft² (195 m²), with a wraparound terrace of 830 ft² (77 m²).

The ship has 41 ADA-certified, wheelchair-accessible staterooms in the following categories: HB-Haven Aft Penthouse (1), BA-BB-BF Balcony (16), O4 Oceanview (7), IA-IB-IF Inside (17). The total number of cabin categories is 39, including the “Guaranteed” categories (MX-Club Balcony Suite, BX-Balcony, OX-Oceanview, IX-Inside).

All passenger staterooms feature a sleeping area with standard twin beds (convertible to a Queen-size double bed, leather headboard, and lighted recess above), en-suite bathroom (WC, sink, shower stall, toiletries, hairdryer), and a lounge/sitting area (full-size wardrobe, vanity, ample storage). Additional amenities include a smart HDTV (26-inch, infotainment system, recessed under-TV nook), electronic safe, life jackets (in closet), mini-refrigerator, direct-dial phone, writing desk with four power outlets (2 American, 2 European), individual air-conditioning, and keycard access with lighting control. Bathrooms offer under-sink storage, glass-door showers, shower dispensers, and upgraded bath products (Elemis in Haven and Spa categories).

The highest-grade accommodations are The Haven Suites, featuring large terraces with outdoor jacuzzis and 4-seat dining tables. Haven Suite guests enjoy exclusive access to private relaxation and dining venues, along with restricted-access areas reached via two aft-located Haven elevators. NCL Viva’s Haven complex includes a private sundeck with an infinity swimming pool, two Jacuzzis, sunbathing area, wellness facilities (spa and fitness), and 24-hour butler service. Additional Suite perks include keycard access, welcome gifts (Champagne, fruit, flowers), in-room dining (full breakfast menu and evening treats), pillow menu, premium mattresses and bedding, slippers, terry towels, 24-hour butler and concierge services (including luggage unpacking), large HDTVs (with DVD players), coffee machines, refrigerators, and priority services (check-in, debarkation, tender boarding, dining reservations), plus complimentary specialty-restaurant dining for breakfast and lunch.

Since May 2015, Norwegian Cruise Line has charged US$7.95 for room-service dining. This fleetwide service fee (including on NCL Viva) excludes guests staying in The Haven Suites. All passengers, however, may order complimentary morning coffee and Continental Breakfast through room service. Following implementation of the fee, NCL expanded the room-service menu with additional hot breakfast dishes and more 24-hour food and beverage options.

Handicap / wheelchair-accessible cabins

NCL Viva’s gangways are wide enough to accommodate most wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

For passengers with disabilities, the ship offers 41 accessible staterooms, each equipped with wider doors, roll-in showers, grab bars, lowered sinks and closet rods, raised toilets, amplified phones, and captioned TVs.

All public restrooms onboard have accessible stalls and automatic doors. All decks provide elevator access, and all dining venues, bars, lounges, and public spaces offer wheelchair-accessible seating.
