Norwegian Breakaway cabins and suites

Of all NCL Breakaway cabins, 42 are located in the signature “The Haven” all-suite complex, 59 are Studios (single-occupancy cabins for solo travelers), and 42 are wheelchair-accessible. The total number of cabin categories is 42.

Below is the review of Norwegian Breakaway staterooms in terms of amenities, furniture, and included (complimentary) services:

All staterooms feature a sleeping area with standard twin/single beds (convertible to a Queen-size bed, with leather headboard and an above-bed lighted recess), en-suite bathroom (WC, sink, shower stall, bath products, hairdryer), and a lounge/sitting area (full-size wardrobe, vanity area, ample storage space). Additional amenities include a 26-inch smart HDTV (infotainment system, recessed under-TV nook), electronic safe, life jackets (in the closet), mini-refrigerator, direct-dial phone, writing desk with four power outlets (two American, two European), individual air conditioning, and keycard-controlled lighting. Bathrooms have a sink with storage underneath, a glass-door shower, shower dispensers, and luxury bath products (Elemis in Haven and Spa accommodations).

Many NCL Breakaway Inside cabins are adjoining (with pull-down bunks). Family Inside rooms are located near the kids’ facilities.

The 59 Studio cabins are designed for solo travelers and offer exclusive keycard access to the “Studio” complex and the Studio Lounge & Bar. These Single cabins feature a full-sized bed and windows facing the corridor.

Oceanview staterooms have large windows (44 are Family Oceanview units accommodating up to five guests).

Balcony staterooms include a sofabed, ample under-bed storage drawers, and balcony furniture (two mesh chairs and one small table).

Mini-Suites are slightly larger than Balcony cabins and feature enhanced bathrooms (double-sink vanity, body jets, handheld showerhead), a sofabed, and a full-size closet. Many Family Mini-Suites (located near the kids’ facilities) are equipped with bathtubs.

NCL Breakaway Spa staterooms (36 Balcony, 20 Mini-Suite, 16 Haven Spa Suite) are all located on Deck 14, adjacent to the spa and fitness complex. They include complimentary “Thermal Suite” access and spa amenities (bathrobes, slippers). Spa cabins feature a king-sized bed, separate dining area, jacuzzi, and an oversized bathroom (large shower with waterfall and handheld showerheads, body jets, and two sinks).

The 22 Penthouses are located outside “The Haven” (but still include access to the complex). They offer a separate dining room, living area (with a double sofabed), and a bathroom with two double sinks, a bathtub, and Elemis luxury products.

The 42 Haven Suites/Villas (Decks 15 and 16) offer direct access to the spa and fitness complex, private concierge service, 24-hour butler service, and priority embarkation, disembarkation, and tendering. Additional amenities include coffee makers, evening gourmet treats, luxury mattresses and linens, feather duvets, pillow menus, bathrobes, and slippers.

IMPORTANT: Since May 2015, Norwegian Cruise Line has charged a US$7.95 room service fee. This fee applies fleetwide, including Norwegian Breakaway. Guests exempt from the fee are those staying in “The Haven” suites. As an exception, all passengers may order complimentary morning coffee and Continental Breakfast via room service. Following the introduction of the fee, NCL upgraded the room service menu with additional hot breakfast items and a broader 24-hour food and beverage selection.

NCL Breakaway “The Haven” cabin categories

• 18 “Courtyard Penthouse” suites (king-size bed, living and dining areas, single sofabed, large walk-in closet; balcony furnished with two wicker chairs and one wicker table).
• 20 “2-Bedroom Family Villas” (each with two bedrooms, separate living and dining areas, single sofabed, bar, master bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and private balcony, master bathroom with shower, oceanview bathtub, and two sinks; second bedroom with single/double sofabed, Pullman bed, and separate bathroom).
• 2 Owner’s Suites (living room, separate dining area, vanity, bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in closet, large veranda, master bathroom with bathtub, two sinks, and shower). On Norwegian Breakaway, Owner’s Suites can be connected to Deluxe Suites for a maximum capacity of up to eight guests.
• The Haven complex includes 2 Deluxe Owner’s Suites, the largest accommodations on Norwegian Breakaway, featuring a separate living and dining room, vanity, wet bar, and wraparound veranda.

The ship’s 42 wheelchair-accessible cabins include 1 suite, 4 Mini-Suites, 13 Balcony staterooms, 9 Oceanviews (4 Family Oceanviews), and 14 Inside cabins. Hearing-impaired kits are available upon request.
