Regal Princess (built in 2014, last refurbished in April 2025) is one of the largest Princess cruise ships and the fleet’s second Royal-class liner. Her sisterships and fleetmates include Royal Princess (2013), Majestic Princess (2017), Sky Princess (2019), Enchanted Princess (2021), and Discovery Princess (2022), as well as P&O UK’s liner MV Britannia.
Regal Princess’ deck plan features a total of 1,780 cabins for 3,560 passengers (lower berths), with a maximum capacity of 4,272 guests, served by 1,346 crew and staff. The ship has 18 decks (15 passenger-accessible, 8 with cabins), 14 bars and lounges, 2 swimming pools, 8 outdoor Jacuzzis, and 16 elevators.
Passenger-use launderettes (self-service laundromats) are located on cabin decks 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15. These facilities are equipped with ironing boards, and detergent is provided.
Royal-class ships are the largest vessels ever built for Princess Cruises. They feature the fleet’s largest Atrium area (with expanded entertainment and casual dining venues such as Gelato and Ocean Terrace), the largest top-deck pool area (hosting the nightly “Water and Light Show” with the computerized “Watercolor Fantasy” fountain featuring 85 water jets), and the fleet’s largest and most advanced outdoor cinema (“Movies Under The Stars,” approximately one-third larger than previous versions). A dedicated Concierge Lounge for Suite passengers is located on Deck 14.
The glass-bottomed SeaWalk extends 128 ft (39 m) above the waterline, offering spectacular sea and port views.
All outside staterooms on Regal Princess have a private balcony (1,438 in total).
The ship is equipped with the “SISCO A-PASS 6” system, which supports a mobile application used for tracking passengers and crew.
“Princess@Sea Messenger” is a complimentary mobile app that allows Regal Princess guests to communicate and plan activities during their cruise. The messaging service is integrated into the “Princess@Sea” app, which is accessible via smartphone or tablet.
