Discovery Princess (2021-built / 2022-inaugurated) is one of the largest Princess Cruises ships and the fleet’s 6th Royal-Class liner, joining her sisterships Royal Princess (2013), Regal Princess (2014), Majestic Princess (2017), Sky Princess (2019), Enchanted Princess (2020), and P&O UK's Britannia (2015).

The Discovery Princess cruise ship deck plan includes a total of 1,834 cabins for 3,668 passengers (maximum capacity 4,610), served by 1,411 crew members. The vessel has 19 decks (15 accessible to passengers, 8 with cabins), 14 bars and lounges, 2 swimming pools, 8 outdoor Jacuzzis (whirlpool hot tubs), and 16 elevators.

Passenger-use launderettes (self-service laundry facilities) are located on decks 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16. These laundry rooms are equipped with ironing boards and provide detergent.

• Royal-Class ships are the largest vessels ever built for Princess Cruises. They feature the biggest Atrium in the fleet, offering expanded entertainment and casual dining options such as Gelato and Ocean Terrace.
• The class also boasts the largest top-deck pool area, which hosts nightly "water and light shows" using the computerized "Watercolor Fantasy" fountain with 85 water jets.
• They offer the fleet’s most advanced outdoor cinema—"Movies Under the Stars"—which is about one-third larger than on other ships.
• Suite guests enjoy exclusive access to the Concierge Lounge, located on Deck 14.
• The SeaWalk, a glass-bottomed walkway, provides stunning sea and port views from 128 ft (39 m) above the waterline.
• All outside cabins on Discovery Princess feature a private balcony, totaling 1,438 balcony staterooms.
• The ship is equipped with the advanced SISCO A-PASS 6 mobile system, a digital platform that enhances onboard safety and streamlines embarkation/disembarkation. It also enables ship management to monitor and track all passengers and crew onboard.
