Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is a highly convenient option for cruise guests due to its close proximity to exciting Caribbean destinations and easy accessibility through highways and three international airports.

In the summer of 2024, the port has even more to offer, solidifying its position as the third busiest cruise homeport globally. Five renowned cruise ships from esteemed cruise travel brands such as Celebrity, DCL-Disney, Princess, and RCI-Royal Caribbean International will be homeported. The vessels include two of the newest (Celebrity Beyond and Enchanted Princess), the once-largest ship in the world (Freedom of the Seas) and two offering short breaks (Celebrity Reflection and Disney Magic).

Additionally, Balearia Caribbean provides near-daily fast ferry service to Bimini Bahamas from Port Everglades.

Jonathan Daniels (Port's CEO and Director) highlighted the success of meeting the expectations of the cruising public by attracting luxury and premier brands, expanding summer offerings, and enhancing popular short cruise options. The inclusion of these new ships in the summer 2024 portfolio is a direct result of prioritizing the customer experience.

Presently, Port Everglades already provides cruise guests with unique experiences. Notably, Celebrity's Celebrity Equinox, Princess' Caribbean Princess, and RCI's Adventure of the Seas are homeported at the port this summer.

Travelers now have additional reasons to choose Port Everglades as their embarkation point and extend their summer vacation with pre- and post-cruise stays in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. The port is conveniently located near beautiful beaches, a vibrant art scene, top-notch restaurants, craft breweries, entertainment venues, shopping centers, casinos, and family-friendly activities. Moreover, visitors can explore the iconic Florida Everglades, after which the area is named.
