Norwegian Epic deck plans

Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities

Norwegian Epic deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2026-2027-2028 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Norwegian Cruise Line deckplan pdf (printable version).

Each of the Norwegian Epic cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Norwegian Epic staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.

Norwegian Epic (2010-built, last refurbished in April 2025) was the largest of all Norwegian Cruise Line ships until the arrival of the Breakaway-Plus class vessels: Escape (2015), Joy (2017), Bliss (2018), and Encore (2019). Epic belongs to a unique vessel class (no sister ships by design) and was one of NCL’s “Nickelodeon” ships, along with Breakaway, Getaway, Gem, and Jewel.

Norwegian Epic’s deck plan includes 2122 staterooms accommodating 4244 passengers (maximum capacity 5093), served by 1720 crew. The ship has 19 decks (15 accessible to passengers, 9 with cabins), 20 dining venues (7 complimentary), 20 lounges and bars, 6 swimming pools, 3 waterslides (including 1 bowl slide), 9 Jacuzzis, and 16 elevators.

NCL Epic deck plan changes and refurbishment review

Deck changes following the 2025 drydock include a new hot tub (Deck 18), a redesigned Kids’ Aqua Park (replacing the former SplashGolf area on Deck 15), a new Vibe Beach Club (expanded adults-only sundeck with an additional hot tub, more loungers, and new private cabanas on Decks 18–19), and 8 new staterooms (6 balcony cabins and 2 oceanview cabins on Deck 14).

The following list summarizes deck plan changes implemented during the ship’s 2015 drydock:

  • A new club lounge, “The Cavern Club,” was introduced in partnership with the original UK venue. It features live music inspired by The Beatles, performed by international artists.
  • New evening entertainment options were added to the ship’s theatre (Deck 5), including the musical “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” and the ballroom-style dance show “Burn the Floor.”
  • “Burn the Floor” is also featured on NCL’s newer ships Breakaway and Getaway. The show includes 14 professional dancers and 2 vocalists performing with a live band.
  • “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” is a musical comedy featuring elaborate costumes, headdresses, and popular dance classics such as “It’s Raining Men” and “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”

Extensive restaurant renovations were carried out at Moderno Churrascaria (Brazilian steakhouse), Cagney’s (steakhouse), La Cucina (Italian), Le Bistro (French), Taste (main dining room), Manhattan (main dining room), and Garden Cafe (buffet). Upgrades included new carpeting, updated décor, and reupholstered furniture.

Major refurbishments were also completed at Mandara Spa (Deck 14), Bliss Ultra Lounge (Deck 7), Marketplace (Deck 15), Epic Theater (Deck 5), and the Casino (Deck 6). The Haven suite complex (Decks 16–17) received new furniture, lighting, wall coverings, and artwork.

New or redesigned facilities include a photo gallery (Deck 5), library (Deck 7), card room (Deck 7), and the SplashGolf kids’ mini-golf course. SplashGolf is a retrofit to the ship’s former splash pad and is located beneath the waterslides on Deck 15. It combines a splash pad and miniature golf into one interactive water-play facility for toddlers and young children. Designed by Adventure Golf Services, SplashGolf uses oversized floating balls and enlarged hole cups.

Technical upgrades included two new Becker rudders, new propeller caps, hull repainting (robotic UHP blasting and new silicone coating for improved fuel efficiency), and general maintenance to lifeboat and tender release systems, thrusters, stabilizers, diesel generator replacement, cooling water connections, and the cabin air-conditioning system.
