Monheim am Rhein is a Rhine RIver cruise port and town in Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia state (Mettmann district) with population around 45,000. Monheim is located close to two major river port cities (road distance, via highway A59) - Dusseldorf (~23 km/15 mi to the north-northwest) and Cologne/Koln (~26 km/16 mi to the south).
As a cruise port, Monheim is included in some of AmaWaterways' Rhine Cruise itineraries on the route between Amsterdam and Basel.
