Rhapsody of the Seas (built in 1997, last refurbished in May 2025) is a Vision-class Royal Caribbean cruise ship – together with her sistership Vision OTS, as well as Enchantment OTS, Legend OTS (now Marella Discovery 2), Grandeur OTS, and Splendour OTS (now Marella Discovery).

Rhapsody of the Seas cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 1,013 staterooms for 2,026 passengers (maximum capacity 2,431), served by 770 crew members. The ship has 12 decks (11 passenger-accessible, 5 with cabins), 8 lounges and bars, 3 swimming pools, 6 outdoor Jacuzzis (whirlpool hot tubs), and 9 elevators.

Rhapsody OTS deck plan changes 2012 refurbishment review

The list of deck plan changes following the 2012 drydock refurbishment included:

• upgraded amenities in all cabins (HDTVs, renovated bathrooms, updated interiors, linens, and furniture)
• a large poolside movie screen
• new lounges (“Diamond” and “Concierge”)
• new dining options (“Giovanni’s Table” Trattoria/Italian cuisine, “Izumi”/Asian cuisine, “Chops Grille”/steakhouse, “Chef’s Table”/limited-capacity intimate dining, the “Viking Crown” with a new a la carte menu, and the complimentary deli “Park Cafe”)
• Nursery
• upgraded “Centrum” entertainment program (including acrobatic shows)
• “R Bar” (the 1960s-themed venue).

The ship’s most recent drydocking took place in April-May 2022 (for routine maintenance) and was conducted at Damen Shiprepair Brest (in Brest France). The works included hull cleaning and painting, mechanical inspections (machinery, propulsion system, engines), renovation of open-deck areas (sundeck and swimming pools), and recarpeting of all indoor public spaces (including hallways, bars, and lounges).
