MV Fortuny ferry is a Ro-Ro passenger vessel owned and operated by the Spanish company TRASMEDITERRANEA. The ship has a maximum capacity of 1,000 passengers and 330 cars. Cabins
As a cruise ferry, Fortuny has a total of 748 berths in 2-, 3- or 4-bed categories (inside and outside). All staterooms are air-conditioned and feature en-suite bathrooms. Bed linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. Some cabins are wheelchair-accessible and adapted for disabled passengers.

- Gluten-free and halal Moroccan dishes (vegetable tagine, lamb, chicken, fish) are available fleetwide.
- Boutiques selling duty-free perfumes, cosmetics, leather goods, toys, confectionery, clothing, accessories, cameras, sunglasses, jewelry, travel essentials, souvenirs, spirits, wines, and tobaccos. Promotions are regularly available. On Spain–Canaries and Spain–Morocco routes, duty-free pricing applies. Shops also offer exclusive Kukuxumusu products, with details featured in the Azul Marino magazine.
- Kids Play Area (indoor supervised playground with ball pool, nursery, and childcare). In peak season (June–September), themed activities include games, arts and crafts, Pirate Day, MiniDisco, and parties.
- Sun Deck with Solarium (sun loungers), jogging track, helipad (emergency use), swimming pool and Jacuzzi (summer months only), outdoor Bar Terrace, and pets area (air-conditioned kennels and walking space). Passengers may visit pets during crossings with crew permission.

All public decks are connected by elevators, with staircases linking all decks. Emergency instructions are displayed in cabins, on TV screens, and at muster stations. Life jackets are provided at assembly stations. Elevators must not be used in emergencies.
Trasmediterranea ferry deals
For foot passengers, boarding closes 30 minutes prior to departure (15 minutes on fast ferries). For car passengers, boarding closes 1 hour prior. On Spain–Canaries routes, passengers must arrive at least 2 hours before departure due to customs.
Boarding cards can be issued online or at self-service check-in machines. All passengers (including babies and pets) require individual boarding cards. Lost cards are reissued free of charge.
For Morocco, valid ID and passports (and visas if required) are mandatory. Documents must remain valid during the stay.
Pregnant women must sign an "Information document for pregnant travelers." Women over 36 weeks pregnant cannot travel. Babies (0–2 years) travel free but without a seat. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Kids aged 2–13 receive a 50% discount.

Pets on the ship
Pets (birds, cats, dogs, and other harmless animals) are allowed onboard with car and foot passengers. Pets are not permitted on passenger decks. Car passengers may leave pets in vehicles or kennels, while foot passengers must use carriers (max 50x40x25 cm). Animals remain in carriers during the trip. Large dogs must be leashed and muzzled.
Boarding cards for pets are required at booking. Valid health cards (vaccinations and deworming records) are mandatory.
Onboard kennels are parasite-proof and cleaned before each voyage. All ferries carry a pet first-aid kit and provide a 24-hour animal hotline. Pet carriers must have waterproof bottoms and be covered.
Guide and assistance dogs travel free and have full access to passenger areas. They must have veterinary ID cards, be muzzled and leashed, and carry an official tag.
Car decks
Car passengers have no baggage limits. Vehicles must have valid documents and insurance. Boarding closes 1 hour before departure. Luggage may remain in vehicles, but car decks remain closed during crossings. Car ferry rates vary by route and vehicle size.
Trasmediterranea ships transport bicycles, surfboards, and kayaks free of charge, secured in the garage.
Car deck safety procedures include:
- Passengers requiring assistance should visit the Information Desk (open 24 hours).
- Engage the handbrake, place the vehicle in park/1st gear, switch off ignition, alarms, and electrical equipment. Lock the vehicle. Gas cylinders must be turned off.
- Remove valuables and essential hand baggage.
- Note vehicle location and garage/stairway number.
- Access to vehicle decks during crossings is prohibited.
- Smoking is forbidden on vehicle decks, in cabins, and lounges.
- Wait for announcements before returning to vehicles.
- Do not start engines until instructed to reduce pollution.
