MS Der Kleine Prinz Review
Review of MS Der Kleine Prinz
MS Der Kleine Prinz cruise ship (the name translates as "The Little Prince") is a 1990-built riverboat and one of the most elegant vessels sailing on the Danube River. The ship is Germany-flagged (registered in Bremen) and has a passenger capacity of 90 guests, served by 25 crew and staff. Compared to most Danube-based ships, she is larger—both longer and wider. Her two main decks feature high ceilings and wide corridors lined with spacious staterooms (each measuring 16 m² / 170 ft²). Public areas are also generous, including a bar lounge, dining room restaurant, a large lobby with reception and boutique shop, and a sun deck with outdoor seating areas.

The vessel (ENI number 04803150) is currently owned and operated by the Danish company Quality Tours ApS, a Copenhagen-based travel agency.

All MS Little Prince staterooms are outside cabins featuring large picture windows, TV, intercom phone, electronic safe (in the closet), and en-suite bathrooms with shower, WC, and hairdryer. Onboard facilities include a lobby lounge (Reception Desk, Tour Desk, Gift Shop), a 100-seat restaurant, a panorama bar lounge, a passenger elevator (connecting all cabin decks), and a sun deck with sun loungers, deckchairs, and shaded 4-seat tables under a retractable roof. The Wheelhouse (Navigation Bridge) is also located on the Sun Deck.
The restaurant operates open seating and serves buffet-style breakfast and lunch, with dinner served by waiters. Guests wishing to share a table with friends should arrange this during the first meal. Special dietary requests can be accommodated by prior arrangement with the Maitre D'.
