Review of Kapitan Evdokimov icebreaker
MS Kapitan Evdokimov ("ледокол Капитан Евдокимов") is an icebreaking vessel owned and operated by Rosmorport. “Rosmorport” is a Russian FSUE (“Federal State Unitary Enterprise”) created in 2012 by the order of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Transport.
One of the Russian river icebreaker ships, Kapitan Evdokimov was ordered in December 1980. Until 2005, the vessel was operated by the OJSC company "Ob-Irtysh River Shipping Company". In July 2015, the FSUE company Rosmorport published a new request with proposals about choosing a supplier of spare parts for propeller-controlled complex deadwood and propeller shaft seals on the icebreaker Kapitan Evdokimov. The order's starting price was 540,000 rubles. The cost of delivery had to include all additional costs like taxes, customs duties, insurance.
Kapitan Evdokimov itinerary program offers icebreaking assistance from home-port Arkhangelsk (on Dvina River, flowing into White Sea).
