Compass Empress

The 2002-built (as River Empress) cruise ship Compass Empress is currently owned by Rijfers Nautical Management BV (Switzerland) and chartered to Compass Kreuzfahrten GmbH (a cruise agency/travel brand based in Bonn, Germany) specializing in European river cruises. Compass Cruises is renowned for all-inclusive Danube and Rhine itineraries tailored for German-speaking travelers.

For Uniworld, River Empress operated cruises on the Main, Rhine, and Danube rivers, departing from homeports Antwerp, Amsterdam, Vienna, Budapest, and Nuremberg.

The vessel (ENI number 07001746) as River Empress was Switzerland-flagged (MMSI 269057150), while Compass Empress is Holland-flagged (MMSI 244669182).

The Sun Deck provides shuffleboard and life-size chess. Additional facilities include a fitness center, Serenity River Spa, sauna, boutique, laundry and ironing facilities, and an elevator.
