MS Excellence Rhone

MS Excellence Rhone cruise ship was launched in 2006.  The riverboat is owned by the German travel company Swiss Excellence River Cruise Gmbh Basel (subsidiary of Twerenbold Reisen) and operated by Excellence Flussreisen (travel brand) via Reiseburo Mittelthurgau AG (marketing and sales). Itineraries are in France exclusively - on the rivers Saone and Rhone.

The riverboat has 71 cosy staterooms and suites, accommodating a total of 142 passengers. All accommodations are comfortably furnished. The equipment includes a flat TV, minibar, telephone, adjustable air conditioning, safe, hairdryer. Window Staterooms feature two portholes each, while the 2 categories of French Balcony Staterooms boast floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Ship's Owners Suites offer an additional sitting area, as well as a floor-to-ceiling glass window and French balcony.

Excellence Rhone is among the few European river cruise ships having staterooms with step-out balconies. The ship has two Private Balcony Mini Suites, both located aft on Upper Deck.

The top-ship outdoor Sun Deck features an open-air area for relaxing and glassed-in Sky Lounge with panoramic views. The ship has a second lounge and bar, dining room and library, as well as an elevator between Middle and Upper Decks. No beauty salon or fitness centre is available onboard.

Onboard entertainment consists of quiz games, themed dance nights, often including live music. A further highlight which takes place during many journeys are events like language courses, folklore or history lectures about the visited region along the itinerary route.

Onboard dining includes a balanced breakfast buffet, pastries, coffee and tea in the afternoon, as well as a variety of European dishes for lunch and dinner. The attentive staff and qualified tour guides are always available onboard. The large sun deck on ms Excellence Rhone is equipped with golf putting green, sun loungers and shade areas.
