MS Volcan de Tamadaba ferry is a Ro-Pax passenger vessel operated by the Canary Islands-based company NAVIERA ARMAS. The ship has a maximum capacity of 1,000 passengers and 300 cars, or 88 trucks/trailers. The vessel was launched in 2007 and currently operates the Canary Islands inter-island service Gran Canaria-Lanzarote on the ferry route Las Palmas-Arrecife (crossing time 5 hours) via Morro Jable (Fuerteventura).

Cabins

As a cruise ferry, Volcan de Tamadaba has 56 cabins (maximum capacity 4 passengers) and a total of 206 berths. All staterooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. The ferry company provides bed linens, towels, and toiletries. The ship has one Penthouse Suite (with all meals included), as well as double and quad cabins. Baby cots are available on request at the Reception Desk.

All standard cabins are fitted with a mirror, separate bathroom (WC/shower/washbasin), bedside table-cabinet, wardrobe, TV, and seating area (one round table, two armchairs). One stateroom is wheelchair-accessible and adapted for disabled passengers. Naviera Armas ferries also have the so-called "Pet Cabins." Travelers with pets must book the entire cabin (double/triple occupancy). Animals must be kept in pet cages. Dogs, including service dogs, must be leashed and muzzled while in public areas.

The boat also offers a spacious Reserved Seating Lounge (VIP Armchair Hall). The salon has 90% reclining seats (aircraft-type seats) available for pre-booking and offers free water and juice service, private lockers, and complimentary blankets.

All passengers must vacate their staterooms 30 minutes before homeport arrival. Passenger registration ends 1 hour before ferry departure.

For operational reasons, EUR 200 banknotes are not accepted. The vessel Volcan de Tamadaba’s previous owner was Barlovento Agencia Maritima SA (between 2007 and 2008). Naviera Armas SA acquired her in 2008. Her cargo capacity is 1,500 lane meters, allowing storage for 300 cars or 88 trailers/trucks. The cruiseferry is named after Tamadaba National Park on Gran Canaria Island.

The NAVIERA ARMAS Tamadaba ship was built by Barreras Shipyard (Vigo, Spain). Her powerplant is based on two WARTSILA marine diesel engines (model 12V46B / 12-cylinder) with a combined power output of 24 MW. The propulsion system is based on two controllable-pitch propellers.
