The Christmas festival occurs from November 17 until December 23, each year. The Christmas fest brings the city a large portion of tourism as many people from nearby regions come to drink hot chocolate and mulled wine and watch craftsman create art. The event contains small wooden buildings clustered in the middle of Dusseldorf for all citizens to enjoy. The event has an old European feel and is very lively.
