MS Elegant Lady

MS Elegant Lady cruise ship is owned by Union Group (Bulgaria) and operated by its subsidiary company Dunav Tours. The boat cruises on Rhine, Main, Moselle and Danube rivers. The vessel (ENI number 08923003) is Bulgaria-flagged (MMSI 207072229) and currently operated under 5-year charter by the German company Plantours Kreuzfahrten (2019-2024).

Elegant Lady ship's outdoor Sky Bar (on Sun Deck) and indoor Winter Garden provide plenty of space for relaxation. There is a gym area with fitness equipment (in the outdoor Sky Lounge). The Restaurant has a capacity of 130 seats and serves international cuisine, as well as Bulgarian traditional food specialities. On Sun Deck are located a Conservatory and the open-air Sky Bar has capacity 130 seats and outdoor seating furniture (deckchairs and 4-seat tables) for relaxation and enjoying the passing riverside scenery. The spacious observation room guarantees an unobstructed view of various cities and landscapes. It is the most beautiful place to admire the sunset in the evening and to finish an eventful day with a tasty cocktail.

The boat also features a small library (with fireplace), Coffee Station (free coffee, tea, snacks), Boutique (Souvenir Shop), wireless internet access. Elegant Lady cruise tour deals are all-inclusive (drinks included, offered between 8 am - 12 midnight). Tea and coffee are free of charge and available 24-hours.

Cabins

The ship has 64 cabins, of which 34 on Main Deck and 30 on Upper Deck. After the 2017 refurbishment, all Upper Deck cabins are with French balconies.

All staterooms are outside, elegantly furnished and equally sized (14 m2 / 150 ft2). Cabin amenities include flat TV, phone, en-suite bathroom (WC, shower, washbasin, hairdryer), wardrobe, electronic safe (in the closet), individually controlled air-conditioning. Cabin decks are connected via stairs and 1 lift (passenger elevator).

DUNAV TOURS company history

The shipowner  DUNAV TOURS is a Bulgarian cruise company, the successor of Balkantourist - founded in 1948 to manage premium hotels in Bulgaria.

• In October 1983, Balkantourist purchased 2 luxury riverboats (MS ROUSSE and MS SOFIA) built by Shipyard Kooiman Hoebee BV (Dordrecht, Holland). Bulgarian river cruise operations officially started on April 26, 1984.
• In 1991, Balkantourist was renamed to DUNAV TOURS, and in August 1999 was privatized, with sole proprietor “Union Group” (96% shareholder since 2012).
• In February 2003 was launched the newbuild ROUSSE PRESTIGE (built by Merwede Shipyard BV in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Holland. Its inaugural cruise season from Rotterdam started on March 18, 2003.
• In 2006 was acquired HEINRICH HEINE (extensively renovated in 2005) with a sundeck swimming pool.
• In December 2006, MS Elegant Lady was added to the fleet.
