Review of MS Lady Diletta
The 2020-built MS Lady Diletta cruise ship was constructed in Serbia at Vahali Shipyard Zasavica (Sremska Mitrovica) and outfitted in the Netherlands at TeamCo Shipyard in Heusden. The riverboat is owned by the Dutch company TeamCo Shipyard BV and operated under charter by the German cruise travel agency Plantours & Partner GmbH through its brand "Plantours Kreuzfahrten."
The vessel (ENI number 02338554) is registered in Basel, Switzerland, and sails under the Swiss flag (MMSI 269057719).
Decks and Cabins
MS Lady Diletta has four passenger decks and a total of 92 staterooms accommodating up to 173 guests. All cabins are exterior, with most measuring 16 m² (170 ft²). Each stateroom features a double bed (convertible to two lower single beds), deluxe bedding (linens, pillows, duvets), bedside tables, wall-mounted reading lamps, a large mirror, wardrobe, glass-top writing desk with chair, and a full bathroom with glass-wall shower, WC, and mirrored single-sink vanity. Additional amenities include a hairdryer, smart HDTV (satellite reception, infotainment system), onboard intercom phone, and individually controlled air conditioning.
Deck 1 (Accademia Deck) cabins have two non-opening quarter-height windows near the ceiling. Most cabins on Deck 2 (Rialto Deck) and Deck 3 (San Marco Deck) are French Balcony staterooms with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening to a railing. The ship also features eight midship Balcony Suites (with small step-out verandas) and four aft Junior Suites (with French balconies).
Unusually for a river cruise ship, Lady Diletta offers 11 spacious single cabins (10 on Accademia Deck with porthole windows and one on Rialto Deck with a French balcony). Each measures 12 m² (130 ft²) and includes a single bed and full bathroom.
A passenger elevator connects all cabin decks, while staircases link all decks. A stairlift connects Deck 3 to the Sundeck (Deck 4).
Wi-Fi and laundry services are available for an additional fee.
Shipboard Facilities and Amenities
MS Lady Diletta offers three complimentary dining venues: the Tiepolo Dining Room, Canaletto Italian Restaurant, and the Sundeck Alfresco Bar & Buffet. Both Tiepolo and Canaletto feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The Tiepolo Restaurant operates with a single-seating, open arrangement, while Canaletto requires dinner reservations and also hosts themed buffets. The Tiepolo menu combines international cuisine with regional specialties based on the cruise itinerary.
The Lobby area on San Marco Deck includes the Reception Desk (24-hour guest services), Tour Office (excursion information and bookings), and Gift Shop. The ship does not have a hair salon, spa, swimming pool, or Jacuzzi on the Sundeck.
Midship on Accademia Deck is the wellness complex, which includes a gym room.
The Sundeck features four retractable awnings providing shaded seating with loungers and deckchairs, a fore-located Alfresco Lounge with a bar and buffet service, and an aft games area with a Putting Green mini-golf course.
The fore-located Tintoretto Bar Lounge on San Marco Deck offers floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable seating (tables, sofas, and chairs), a dance floor, and a full-service bar. Onboard entertainment includes live music performances, cooking demonstrations, quizzes, bingo, crew shows, themed dance nights, enrichment lectures, and multimedia presentations related to the cruise itinerary and destinations.
The Tintoretto Lounge provides access to the bow Lido Terrace—an outdoor lounge with limited seating (three-seat tables) enclosed by a wraparound glass wall. A stairway from the terrace connects directly to the Tiepolo Restaurant below (Rialto Deck) and the Sundeck’s Alfresco Lounge above.
Aft on San Marco Deck, the Canaletto Restaurant serves as an Italian bistro and casual dining venue with wraparound floor-to-ceiling slide-opening windows offering panoramic stern views. It serves early breakfast, light lunch, and dinner. Weather permitting, the lounge’s windows can be fully opened for alfresco dining.
Itineraries
MS Lady Diletta cruises on the Rhine, Main, and Danube Rivers, as well as the Moselle River and waterways in Belgium and the Netherlands. Itineraries range from 3 to 10 days, with the ship’s main homeport in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Plantours offers optional shore excursions (not included in cruise fares) in all visited ports. These include sightseeing tours, city walks, cycling excursions, and bus trips to nearby destinations. All guided tours include complimentary portable audio headsets.
MS Lady Diletta’s cruise fares include all onboard meals (breakfast buffet, waiter-served lunch and dinner, afternoon coffee and cake, midnight snacks), welcome cocktail party, welcome dinner, gala dinner, onboard entertainment, ship tour, river locks and port taxes, tour guide and headsets (for all excursions), and use of the fitness room. Fares exclude flights, transfers, excursions, insurance, gratuities, beverages, and personal expenses.

The vessel’s hull and superstructure (ENI number 02338554) were constructed at Vahali Shipyard in Zasavica (Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia). The Dutch shipbuilding company Scheepswerf en Machinefabriek Vahali BV, founded in 1923, owns and operates shipyards in Serbia (Belgrade and Zasavica) and the Netherlands (Gendt). Vahali Shipyard Zasavica officially opened in 2013. After the initial construction in Serbia, the ship was towed to the Netherlands for final outfitting at Scheepswerf Vahali in Gendt.
MS Lady Diletta was christened on June 24, 2020, in Dusseldorf by godmother Cristina Trincanato. The naming ceremony was attended by Oliver Steuber, Managing Director of Plantours.
