MS Lady Diletta

The 2020-built MS Lady Diletta cruise ship was constructed in Serbia (at Vahali Shipyards Zasavica in Sremska Mitrovica) and outfitted in Holland (at TeamCo Shipyard in Heusden). The riverboat is owned by the Dutch company TeamCo Shipyard BV (shipowner) and operated under charter by the German cruise travel agency Plantours & Partner GmbH (via its brand "Plantours Kreuzfahrten").

The vessel (ENI number 02338554) is Switzerland-flagged (MMSI 269057719) and registered in Basel.

Decks and Cabins

MS Lady Diletta ship has 4 passenger decks and a total of 92 staterooms for 173 passengers. All cabins are outside and most are sized 16 m2 (170 ft2). All staterooms are equipped with double beds (convertible to twins/2x lower single beds), deluxe bedding (linens, pillows, duvets), bedside tables, wall-mounted reading lamps, large mirror, wardrobe, glass-top writing desk with chair, full bathroom (glass-wall shower, WC-toilet, mirrored washbasin/single-sink vanity), hairdryer, smart HDTV (satellite reception, infotainment system), phone (intercom / onboard connections only), individually controlled air-conditioning.

Deck 1 (Accademia Deck) cabins are with 2x non-opening window (quarter-height) located near the ceiling. Most Deck 2 (Rialto Deck) and Deck 3 (San Marco Deck) cabins are French Balcony staterooms (with floor-ceiling sliding glass doors opening to a railing/false balcony). The boat also has 8x Balcony Suites (with midship location and a small step-out veranda) and 4x Junior Suites (with aft location and French balconies).

Not common for a river cruise ship, Lady Diletta also has a total of 11x spacious "single cabins" which are equally-sized (12 m2 / 130 ft2) and fitted with a single bed and full bathroom.

One Lift (passenger elevator) connects all cabin decks, Staircases connect all decks. A Stairlift connects Deck 3 to Sundeck (deck 4).

WiFi and Laundry services cost extra (available for a fee).

Shipboard facilities and amenities

The riverboat MS Lady Diletta has all 3 dining options (all complimentary): Dining Room (Tiepolo Restaurant), Italian Restaurant (Canaletto) and Alfresco Bar & Buffet (Sundeck). The Tiepolo and Canaletto are with floor-ceiling windows.

Tiepolo Restaurant is with single-seating capacity and an open-seating arrangement, while Canaletto Restaurant requires dinner reservations. Dining Room's menu includes both local dishes (itinerary-based on visited countries) and international cuisine specialties. The Italian Restaurant also offers themed buffets.

On San Marco Deck is the Lobby area with Reception Desk (24-hour guest services and assistance), Tour Office (Plantours Cruise Director, excursions information and booking), Gift Shop. The riverboat has no Hair Salon (hairdresser services), Spa (massage room), swimming pool or Jacuzzi (on Sun Deck).

Midship on Accademia Deck is the wellness complex, consisting of Fitness (Gym Room).

Sun Deck has 4x retractable Awnings (shaded seating areas with loungers and deckchairs), full bar service (fore-located Alfresco Lounge with Bar & Buffet) and aft-located games area (with Putting Green Mini-Golf).

The fore-located on San Marco Deck Bar Lounge (Tintoretto) has floor-ceiling windows, comfortable seating (tables, sofas and chairs), dance floor, and is served by its own Bar. Onboard entertainment includes daily live music performances, cooking demonstrations, quiz games, bingo, crew show, themed dance nights, enrichment lectures and media presentations (related to the cruisetour itinerary's destinations, ports, excursions).

From Tintoretto Lounge is accessed the bow-located Lido Terrace - an outdoor lounge (with a small seating capacity/3-seat tables) and wind-protected (by a wraparound glass wall). A stairway from the Terrace connects directly to Tiepolo Restaurant (Rialto Deck / below) and to Sun Deck's Alfresco Lounge (above).

Aft is located (on San Marco Deck) Canaletto Restaurant is an Italian Bistro & Bar Lounge that serves as an alternative casual restaurant. Canaletto has wraparound floor-ceiling (slide-opening) windows with stern views. Here are served early Breakfast, light Lunch, and Dinner. Weather permitting, Canaletto Lounge's floor-ceiling windows can be fully opened for alfresco dining.

Itineraries

MS Lady Diletta cruises on the rivers Rhine, Main and Danube, as well as on Moselle River and Belgium and Dutch waterways, with itineraries 3-4-5-7-10-days in length. The ship's principal homeport is Dusseldorf Germany.

The cruise company Plantours offers optional shore excursions (not included in cruise fares) in each of the visited ports. Land tours include sightseeing tours, city walks, cycling tours, bus travel to nearby tourist destinations. On all guided shore excursions are provided complimentary portable audio headsets.

MS Lady Diletta Plantours river cruise deals are inclusive of all onboard meals (breakfast buffet, waiter-served lunch and dinner, afternoon coffee with cake, midnight snacks), Welcome Cocktail party, Welcome Dinner, Gala Dinner, onboard entertainment, ship tour, river locks and port taxes, tour guide and headsets (provided on all tours), fitness (ship's Gym). Cruisetour deals don't include flights, transfers, excursions, insurance, gratuities, beverages, personal expenses.

The vessel's construction (hull and superstructure, ENI number 02338554) was done at Vahali Shipyard in Zasavica (Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia). The 1923-founded Dutch shipbuilding company (Scheepswerf En Machinefabriek Vahali BV) owns and operates yards in Serbia (Belgrade, and Zasavica) and in Holland (Gendt). Vahali Shipyard Zasavica was officially opened in 2013. Following the construction in Serbia, the cruise ship was towed to Holland for final outfitting at Scheepswerf Vahali (Gendt).

MS Lady Diletta was christened on June 24, 2020., in Dusseldorf, by godmother Taufpatin Cristina Trincanato. The ceremony was attended by Oliver Steuber (Plantours' Managing Director).
