Trafalgar Verity Review

Review of Trafalgar Verity

The 1999-built (as River Queen) cruise ship Trafalgar Verity is owned by Uniworld (officially "Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection"), which is an asset of The Travel Corporation (TravCorp). Since 2026, the riverboat has been chartered to the sister brand Trafalgar.

The Trafalgar Verity ship cruises on the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers departing from Amsterdam, Antwerp, Basel, Frankfurt am Main, and Nuremberg.

The vessel (ENI number 02323692) is currently Holland-flagged (MMSI 244010349) and registered in Amsterdam.

Trafalgar's fleet currently includes only two (full-ship chartered from Uniworld) vessels - Reverie (River Princess) and Verity (River Queen). Trafalgar plans to add a third riverboat (TBN) in 2027. As part of its longer-term strategy, Trafalgar plans to introduce a new class of ships (beginning in 2028), which would be Trafalgar-owned (not chartered).

Trafalgar Reverie cruise ship (Uniworld River Queen)

With the same design features and amenities are the Uniworld ships Ambassador (1993, now THE A), Baroness (1994, now THE B), Countess (2003, now SS La Venezia), Duchess (2003), Empress (2001), Princess (2001, now Trafalgar Reverie), Royale (2006, now SS La Venezia).

In December 2025 was announced that Trafalgar Verity's godmother would be Cassandra Estrella-Rocam, an employee of Trafalgar and Costsaver. The ship is scheduled to debut for Trafalgar on April 12, 2026, with the "Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam" itinerary.

Decks and cabins

Trafalgar Verity has a total of 64 cabins (n 6 grades), including 4x Suites (20 m2/215 ft2), 16x French Balcony (14 m2/150 ft2), 38x Deluxe (14 m2/one Large Window) and 8x Classic cabins (14 m2/two Upper Windows).

All suites and standard staterooms have handcrafted UK-made Savoir beds and top-luxury bedding sets.

All Rhine Deck cabins have French balconies.

The boat has 4 decks, of which 3 have cabins.

The Restaurant is waiter-served and operates with preset dining times depending on the daily scheduled port activities. Breakfast (7-9 am) is buffet-style (a large station is located in the center) with cereals, a selection of bread, cheeses, cold meats, fruits, yogurt, smoothies, and sausage. There is a designated chef for made-to-order eggs, omelets, and other dishes ordered separately (at no extra charge). There is a bike station with complimentary bicycles available for passengers on shore excursions, town tours, or individual land tours. All bicycles have locks, and helmets are provided on request.

The Sky Lounge (added during the 2010 refurbishment) is designed as a conservatory cafe – with retractable roof and glass walls, live plants, and outdoor seating. Depending on the weather, the whole structure can be opened or closed. Sky Lounge doubles as an alternative dining venue with waiter service and a light food menu – oven-baked pizzas, pasta, salads, soups, and sandwiches. The sun deck’s lounge also serves brunches and cocktail parties.

Sun Deck is an outdoor relaxation and sunbathing area (accessible only by stairs). There are three retractable awnings (midship location shaded seating zones) that can be lowered when the boat passes under low bridges. The sundeck is furnished with sun-loungers and small square tables with chairs. There is a deck games zone with a shuffleboard and a giant chessboard.
