The riverboat (ENI number 04801210) is Ukraine-flagged and Holland-built (by Scheepswerf Peters BV Shipyard in Kampen). The vessel is powered by two Sulzer marine diesel engines with total power output 1,84 MW.
In the period 1995-2001, the ship was owned by the Basel-based company River Advice Ltd and operated under the name "MS Blue Danube". In 2012-Q1, the shipowner (Breeze River Cruises GmbH) sold the vessel to the Kiev-based Ukrainian company LLC Chervona Ruta. Prior the acquisition, the cruise ship was extensively refurbished, including new furniture and carpeting.
In April 25-27 (2012), MS Dnieper Princess towed MS Fidelio through Black Sea (from Danube Delta to Dnieper River Delta) via the Vylkove-Izmail-Odessa route. In June-July 2012, the ship was permanently docked in Kiev and seved as 4-star floating hotel for UEFA Euro 2012 - with the finals held at Kiev City's Olympic Stadium (June 11-15-19-24, July 1). Prior to the hotel ship service, the riverboat operated cruises on Dnieper River leaving roundtrip from Kiev to Odessa.
In 2017, LLC Chervona Ruta (Ukraine) sold the ship to Breeze River Cruises GmbH. Since 2018, Fidelio is chartered to 1AVista Travel GmbH and operated as VistaFidelio.
