Nils Dacke ferry

MS Nils Dacke is a Ro-Pax passenger ferry operated by the German company TT-LINE. The ship has a maximum capacity of 366 passengers and either 252 cars or 152 trucks (trailers). Launched in 1995, the vessel currently operates on the Poland–Sweden route (Swinoujscie–Trelleborg / crossing time 6 hours) and the Poland–Denmark route (Swinoujscie–Ronne / crossing time 5 hours).

The vessel (IMO number 9087465) is Germany-flagged (MMSI 212499000) and registered in Hamburg.

Cabins

As a cruise ferry, Nils Dacke offers 163 cabins with a total of 323 berths. All staterooms are air-conditioned and non-smoking, with en-suite bathrooms (washbasin, WC, shower, hairdryer). Bed linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. Cabin amenities include a phone, bedside table and reading lamps, TV (satellite reception), lower twin beds (fixed, size 2 x 0.8 m), upper wall-mounted bunk bed, mirrored vanity/dressing table with chair, and wardrobe.

Nils Dacke’s staterooms are located on decks 7, 8, and 9 and are available in the following categories:

• 3-bed Comfort Outside Cabin (window; 2 lower beds plus 1 upper bunk)
• 2-bed Comfort Outside Cabin (window; 2 lower beds)
• 1-bed Comfort Outside Cabin (window; 1 lower bed)
• 2-bed Twin Outside Cabin (window; 2 lower beds)
• 2-bed Twin Inside Cabin (2 lower beds; no window)
• 2-bed Outside Disabled Cabin (wheelchair-accessible; window; wider entry door; 2 fixed lower beds; linoleum flooring; adapted bathroom)
• Pet Cabins (for passengers traveling with pets) feature linoleum flooring. On night crossings, pets may only be carried in pet-friendly cabins. If all Pet Cabins are booked, animals are not permitted to board.
• Day Cabins are available for booking and can be used from 1 hour after departure until 1 hour prior to arrival.

The ship also offers reclining seats (aircraft-style leather armchairs) in the Reserved Seating Lounge. Recliners can be pre-booked for day crossings (EUR 11 pp) and night crossings (EUR 19 pp). Seats are fully automatic and equipped with charging points and under-seat luggage storage. Pillows and blankets are provided free of charge with Standard and Premium bookings; Premium bookings also include 3 complimentary drinks.

GoSleep sleeping pods are available on the ferries Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn (decks 3–4). These movable pods provide noise and light isolation and have storage space for hand luggage (max 60 x 50 x 27 cm). The pod chairs include USB ports and chargers for laptops and mobile devices.

All passengers must vacate their staterooms 30 minutes prior to arrival at the homeport.

All emergency instructions are posted in staterooms, displayed on TV screens, and located at the assembly (muster) stations. Life jackets are stored at muster stations. In an emergency, elevators are not to be used.

TT-LINE ferry cruise deals

• The Travemunde–Trelleborg route operates with 8 daily departures (latest check-in: 30 minutes before departure).
• The Rostock–Trelleborg route operates with 12 daily departures (latest check-in: 30 minutes before departure).
• The Swinoujscie–Trelleborg route operates with 4 daily departures (latest check-in: 1 hour before departure).
• The Swinoujscie–Ronne route operates on Saturdays only and during the summer season.
• Shipboard payments are accepted by MasterCard, American Express, and VISA. All purchases are settled in EUR. Cash payments in EUR, SEK, DKK, and NOK are accepted. Purser service (currency exchange) is also available.
• Passengers may combine “SMART Ticket” (cheapest) and “FLEX Ticket” on return sailings. Conditions vary by departure. Rebooking is always allowed. Refunds are available only with FLEX bookings. Wi-Fi (100 MB) is included. FLEX passengers receive one complimentary drink.
• Special promotions include discounted rates for 4–5-person bookings (roundtrip Poland–Sweden, including 1 car and cabin, from EUR 225 per booking) and 25% or 36% return-ticket discounts (roundtrip Germany–Sweden, for 1 passenger with car, no cabin).

Onboard dining packages include Small Breakfast (EUR 8 pp / scrambled eggs, bread rolls, coffee), Large Breakfast (EUR 12.50 pp), Summer Lunch Buffet (EUR 16 pp), Captain's Summer Buffet (EUR 28 pp), Captain's Dinner (EUR 30 pp), 1-Course Meal (EUR 12 pp), and Sailor’s Menu (EUR 16.50 pp / 3-course meal). Captain’s packages include 3 drinks (soft drink, beer, wine, or coffee/tea). Kids’ meals are available at all buffets. Children up to 6 years dine for free; ages 7–12 dine at half adult price; teens (13–17) dine at three-quarters adult price.

“Comfort Packages” are all-inclusive ferry deals that include a day cabin, a full meal (breakfast or lunch), and 2 soft drinks. Prices vary: EUR 53 (for 2 passengers in a 2–4-bed cabin), EUR 74 (for 3–5 passengers in a 2–4-bed cabin), and EUR 62 (for 2 passengers in a 2-bed cabin).

Pets on the ship

Pets are allowed on all TT-LINE ships, but pre-booking is mandatory. A maximum of two pets per cabin is permitted.

• If pet cabins are fully booked, TT-LINE may offer a standard cabin with an added cleaning fee (EUR 15).
• Car decks are inaccessible to passengers during crossings. Pets are not allowed to remain in vehicles.
• Dogs are permitted in all indoor and outdoor passenger areas except restaurants, bars, and shops.
• A dog toilet is available on one of the aft outdoor decks.

Dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. Dangerous breeds must wear a muzzle.

Car decks

The vessel’s garage decks (for cars and trucks) are decks 1, 3, and 5.

Car deck safety procedures include:

• Disabled passengers or those requiring special assistance should contact the Information Desk.
• Apply the handbrake and place the vehicle in park or 1st gear. Switch off ignition, alarm systems, electrical equipment, and headlights. Gas cylinders must be turned off. Lock the vehicle.
• Take only valuables and essential hand baggage from the vehicle.
• Note your vehicle’s location and garage deck number/stairway before leaving the deck.
• Access to vehicle (cargo) decks is prohibited during the voyage.
• Smoking on vehicle decks and in cabins or passenger lounges is strictly forbidden.
• Wait for the onboard announcement before returning to your vehicle.
• To reduce air pollution, do not start the engine until instructed.
