Yolita II Galapagos Review
Review of Yolita II Galapagos
The 2007-built G Adventures' Yolita 2 is a motorized yacht designed for passenger shipping in the Galapagos Islands. The boat is also among the fastest in Ecuador's Galapagos region.
History - construction and ownership
G Adventures (formerly "Gap Adventures") is a small-group adventure travel cruise company headquartered in Toronto, Canada. It offers environmentally and socially responsible travel on small vessels with some of the best passenger-to-staff ratios. G Adventures' Galapagos fleet includes the boats Estrella del Mar, Monserrat, Queen of Galapagos, Xavier 3 and Yolita 2. The 16-passenger cruise ship Yolita II is a luxury yacht with outdoor spaces, comfortable cabins and a resident nature guide. The vessel (IMO 9546291) is Ecuador-flagged (MMSI number 735058239) and registered in Manta.

Cruise itinerary program
MV Yolita II's itinerary program is based on year-round Galapagos Islands cruises departing from Ecuador's capital city, Quito.
Cabins
The Yolita II ship has 9 staterooms, all of which are air-conditioned, wood-paneled and carpeted, with ensuite bathrooms, hot water and fixed lower beds.
Shipboard dining options - Food and Drinks
The ship's comfortable Dining Room offers fresh and tasty international and local cuisine. A comprehensive breakfast, as well as gourmet Ecuadorian cuisine, is prepared fresh daily. All meals onboard are included in the cruise fare.
Since January 2019, G Adventures has banned single-use plastics on the cruise line's Galapagos ships, offering its customers one complimentary reusable water bottle per voyage. The decision was made after Galapagos Conservancy announced that, beginning in March 2019, non-returnable bottles would no longer be allowed on Galapagos cruises. In May 2018, plastic straws and plastic bags were banned on all Galapagos ships.
Shipboard entertainment options - Fun and Sport
Featuring a large sundeck, a comfortable lounge area with a flat-screen TV for briefings and relaxation, and a spacious top deck with a bar, the common spaces on Yolita II are as roomy as her staterooms. The social areas also include a Bar and Small Boutique. Beach towels, wetsuits and snorkeling equipment are included at no extra charge. With 7 dedicated crew members and a naturalist guide familiar with the local flora and fauna and certified by Galápagos National Park Service, there is always someone available to answer guests' questions.
