VIVA Voyage Review

Review of VIVA Voyage

VIVA Voyage cruise ship (formerly “Thurgau Rhone”) joined the Scylla Cruises fleet in 2004 as “Swiss Corona” and, between 2013 and 2020, was chartered to Thurgau Travel (a Switzerland-based cruise brand).

The vessel was christened in April 2004 in Wiesbaden, Germany, by godmother Eva Herman (German author and TV presenter, born 1958).

The riverboat’s sistership is Swiss Tiara/VIVA Tiara.

VIVA Voyage cruises in France on the Rhone and Saone rivers, operating roundtrip itineraries from homeport Lyon.

MS VIVA Voyage cruise ship (Swiss Corona)

The vessel (ENI number tba) is Switzerland-flagged (MMSI 269057171) and registered in Basel. Scylla AG currently operates Swiss Corona, rebranded as “VIVA Voyage,” via VIVA Cruises.

Renamed “VIVA Voyage,” the riverboat has been full-time chartered to VIVA Cruises (Scylla’s travel brand) since 2021. VIVA Cruises’ all-inclusive deals cover snacks, in-cabin minibar, premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, RITUALS cosmetics, and gratuities.
