History - construction and ownership
G Adventures (formerly "Gap Adventures") is a small-group adventure travel cruise company headquartered in Toronto, Canada. It offers environmentally and socially sensitive travel on small-sized vessels with some of the best passenger-to-staff ratios. G Adventures' Galapagos fleet includes the boats Estrella del Mar, Monserrat, Queen of Galapagos, Xavier III, Yolita II. The 16-passenger cruise ship Xavier III is a boutique yacht (sistership to Estrella del Mar) with roomy outdoor spaces, comfortable cabins, cozy common areas, and an onboard naturalist guide.

Galapagos Itineraries
MV Xavier III’s itinerary program is based on Galapagos Islands cruises sailing out of Baltra Island and Quito / flight to San Cristobal Island.
Cabins, shipboard facilities and amenities
The boat has nine cabins (seven double and two single), all with private views, air conditioning, wood paneling, carpeting, and spacious layouts.
The ship's comfortable Dining Room offers fresh and tasty international and local cuisine. Since January 2019, G Adventures has banned single-use plastics on the cruise line's Galapagos ships, offering guests one complimentary reusable water bottle per voyage. The decision was made after the Galapagos Conservancy announced that, from March 2019, non-returnable bottles would no longer be allowed on Galapagos cruises. In May 2018, plastic straws and plastic bags were banned on all Galapagos ships.
Featuring a large porch, a comfortable lounge area with HDTV for briefings and relaxation, and a bar, the common spaces on Xavier III are as roomy as her staterooms. The social areas also include a Bar, Small Boutique, and three Solariums. Wetsuits are available for rent. Beach towels and snorkeling equipment are included at no extra charge. Water toys and jet skis are prohibited in the Galapagos.
With seven dedicated crew members and one naturalist guide familiar with the local flora and fauna and certified by the Galápagos National Park Service, there is always someone available to answer guests' questions.
