Finesse barge Review

Review of Finesse barge

Finesse is a luxury hotel barge completely renovated in 2016. Her sister (by design) is another European Waterways barge - Enchante, which cruises on Canal du Midi. From May 2016, Finesse started cruises on Saone River and Canal du Centre in southern Burgundy.

With "hotel luxury" in mind, the ship's 4 spacious suites each have beautifully appointed bathrooms and air-conditioning. Being some of the fleet's largest accommodations, each cabin can be set up as double-bedded or twin. This luxury hotel barge boasts a spacious sun deck (outdoor top-deck) with alfresco dining area and a spa pool.

The saloon (lounge) has large panoramic windows. A demonstration galley (kitchen) allows passengers to watch the chef preparing their gourmet meals. The boat's interior is modern and well-designed, providing plenty of natural light. The 5-crewed Finesse barge is the perfect river cruise ship to travel through Southern Burgundy's vineyards and undulating countryside.

The barge provides a great vacation opportunity for adventurous travelers who would enjoy the slow-pace cruising on the romantic river canals in France. The European Waterways line also provides many opportunities for cycling and walking along the barge's itinerary route. Or you can simply relax on the open deck and enjoy the slow passing countryside.

Note: You can see the CruiseMapper's list of all river cruise ships and riverboats in the "itinerary" section of our River Cruises hub. All companies and their fleets are listed there.
