Review of Panache barge
The elegant, 12-passenger Panache barge was built in 1959 as a cargo barge ship. In 1998, the vessel was converted into a luxury hotel barge and currently cruises along the waterways of France, Holland, and Belgium. The Holland's popular "Tulip Time Cruises" run in the spring, and afterward the barge sails south through Belgium, Paris, and passing through the French Champagne region to spend the rest of season in Alsace.
Panache is a classic Dutch barge cruise ship furnished in contemporary style creating a charming and comfortable ambiance. The well-planned accommodations include 6 air-conditioned junior suites with in-cabin bathrooms (oversized showers, massage jets, double sinks), as well as a choice of twin or queen beds.
The dining room and salon (boat's lounge) offer comfortable sofas, music, books, and a 24-hours open bar. The sun deck is spacious and boasts a heated spa pool, which is the perfect place to enjoy the after dinner time.
The Panache ship has a highly professional crew of 5, led by an experienced Captain who ensures a memorable trip. The knowledge of Alsace region, combined with private excursions and twelve bikes provided, allows passengers to explore the French river countryside to their heart's desire.
The barge's dining room provides the opportunity to savor French cuisine of the highest quality, always served on fine china and silverware. The dining table is large and beautifully laid.
