The ship was delivered on October 9, 2002 (under the name "Ariadne Palace") to the Greek company Minoan Lines. The ferry entered service in November on the Italy-Greece route Venice- Igoumenitsa-Patras.

The vessel was constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries Co Ltd (Geoje, Korea), under hull/yard number 1281. The powerplant is based on 4x Wartsila marine diesel engines (model 12V46C) with total power output 50,4 MW. The propulsion system consists of 2x driveshafts with Wartsila-made CPPs (controllable pitch propellers). The hull is ice-strengthened (1A-class).

In August 2006, Ariadne Palace was sold to Moby Lines and delivered in December, when was renamed to "Moby Tommy ". In early 2007, the ship entered drydock in Genoa Italy for interior refurbishment and renovations. The Moby Lines service started in summer 2007 on the routes Olbia Sardinia-Piombino and Livorno-Olbia. Sister-ships are Zeus Palace and Mega Express 3.

In spring 2012, the ship was chartered by TTT Lines and returned to Moby Lines service in the summer on the route Civitavecchia- Olbia. Between September 2007 and January 2013, the vessel was laid up expecting charter from TIRRENIA or eventually to be sold to another company. In 2013 returned to the Livorno-Olbia service. In summer 2016 started the TIRRENIA service Genoa-Olbia and Civitavecchia-Olbia.
