Finnpartner ferry Wiki

Finnpartner is the second of four Hansa-class ferries built by the Polish shipyard Stocznia Gdanska (Gdansk). She was launched in July 1994 and delivered in February 1995. Each vessel in the class is powered by 4x SULZER marine diesel engines (model 8ZAL40S) with a combined output of 23 MW. The hull is ice-strengthened (ice class 1A), enabling year-round operations on Baltic Sea routes under severe ice conditions without the need for icebreaker assistance. Her sisterships are Finntrader, Finnhansa (Euroferry Egnazia), and Transeuropa (Euroferry Olympia).

Initially, the ferry was deployed on the Finland-Germany route Helsinki-Travemunde (1995-2007). Between April and August 2007, she underwent a major refit and reconstruction at the Gdansk Remontowa Ship Repair Yard, after which she was reassigned to the Malmo-Travemunde service starting in August 2007.

The vessel is operated by FINNLINES’ wholly owned Swedish subsidiary Nordo-Link Ltd.
