GNV Bridge ferry

GNV Bridge ferry is a Ro-Ro passenger vessel owned and operated by the Italy-based company GRANDI NAVI VELOCI. The ship has a maximum capacity of 1000 passengers and 230 cars (or 116 trucks/semi-trailers). She was launched in 2021 and currently serves Spain–Balearic Islands routes Valencia-Palma de Mallorca-Ibiza Town (crossing times: 5-7 hours to Ibiza, 7-10 hours to Mallorca).

In 2021, the shipowner chartered the vessel (IMO number 9893369) to GNV under the name "GNV Bridge" (Italy-flagged, MMSI 247435900, registered in Venice). The shipowner (Visemar di Navigazione) is an Italian company owned by Porto Viro-based Cantieri Navali Visentini Srl (shipyard).

Cabins

As a cruise ferry, GNV Bridge has 628 berths in 157 cabins (including 4 Suites). All staterooms are air-conditioned and feature en-suite bathrooms. Cabins (inside and outside) accommodate up to 4 passengers. The company provides bed linens, towels, and toiletries. Some cabins are wheelchair-accessible, and the ship also offers “pet-friendly” cabins.

Stateroom categories include:

• 2-berth Disabled Cabin / Twin Outside (2 lower beds, Porthole window)
• 2-berth Twin Inside (2 lower beds, no window)
• 2-berth Twin Outside (2 lower beds, Porthole window)

All GNV ships feature Suites (number varies by vessel). These premium accommodations have a large porthole (round non-opening window) and mini-bar/fridge. Double Suites include a queen-size bed (non-convertible). Family Suites are triple cabins (double bed plus single sofabed).

Cabins are fitted with luxury DUX beds and mattresses, Hansgrohe bathroom faucets and showerheads, phones, TVs (satellite reception), a desk (mirrored vanity with chair), and an open wardrobe.

For reserved seating, passengers can upgrade to the GNV Lounge (capacity 95 seats: 60-seat Public Room and 35-seat Silent Room). The upgrade includes reclining leather armchairs, complimentary beverages (coffee, specialty teas, soft drinks, wine by the glass), snacks, newspapers, and magazines.

Passengers must vacate their cabins 30 minutes prior to arrival.

All bars and lounges are equipped with TVs and comfortable seating. Luggage lockers are available in the Seating Lounge. Dining venues include the Buffet Restaurant (Italian specialties, vegetarian and healthy options), Bar-Cafeteria (pastries, cakes, snacks, sandwiches), Outdoor Bar (BBQs, cocktails, beer), and chocolate/ice cream parlor.

Emergency instructions are displayed in cabins, on TVs, and at muster stations. Life jackets are issued at muster stations. Elevators must not be used during emergencies. CCTV is installed throughout. Smoking indoors is prohibited.

GRANDI NAVI VELOCI cruise deals

All GNV ferries offer modern cabins with en-suite facilities and individually controlled air-conditioning. Some suites have private balconies.

Larger GNV ships occasionally operate Mediterranean mini-cruises, especially during Christmas and New Year holidays.

• A la carte restaurants feature international, regional, and Mediterranean dishes (3-course menus). Buffet dining provides casual choices. Snack Bars serve fast food. During high season, the Pizzeria offers fresh-baked Neapolitan pizzas. On Italy–Tunisia/Morocco routes, Halal meals are available.
• Boutique shops offer discounted tobacco, alcohol, perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry, watches, clothing, and souvenirs.
• The Conference Centre supports the company’s "GNV MICE and INCENTIVE" program with options for full or partial charters, mini-cruises, floating hotel service, and corporate events (meetings, aperitifs, lunches, dinners).

Children under 4 travel free on all GNV ships. Kids under 2 travel free on Tunisia and Morocco routes. Families may request cots, high chairs, bottle warmers, changing tables, and safety bars free of charge. Kids enjoy menus, playrooms, supervised activities, and seasonal entertainment (movies, workshops).

Pets onboard

Pets (dogs, cats, ferrets) may be ferried on GNV Bridge, subject to route regulations.

• Pets are not allowed in passenger cabins unless booked in a “pet-friendly” stateroom.
• The ship has a dog toilet.
• Dogs must be leashed, muzzled, and supervised at all times.
• Guide dogs travel free and are allowed in cabins and on all passenger decks (must wear a harness or jacket).
• Pets must have a valid EU passport, microchip (or tattoo), and rabies vaccination.
• Passengers with pets disembark last.

Car passengers may travel with up to 5 animals per vehicle. Foot passengers may bring up to 5 pets but must pre-book a kennel. Kennels (small, medium, large) are equipped with CCTV monitoring. Pet cages are also available for rent or passengers may bring their own. Pets must remain in cages during crossings. Dogs must be leashed and muzzled during embarkation/disembarkation.

Car decks

Cargo decks carry cars, trucks, trailers, and trains (Decks 2–7). Deck 2 has 204 lane meters for trailers plus 1 rail track (204 lane meters). Deck 3 accommodates 916 lane meters for trains (6 tracks) plus 1011 lane meters for trailers. Deck 5 provides 1162 lane meters, Deck 7 offers 918 lane meters. Deck 5 is accessed via a large lift (104 m/341 ft platform, 816-ton capacity). Car decks are on Decks 6 and 7.

Car deck safety procedures:

• Passengers requiring assistance should contact the 24-hour Information Desk.
• Engage handbrake, park in gear, switch off ignition, alarms, electrical systems, and gas cylinders. Lock the vehicle.
• Take only valuables and essential baggage.
• Note your vehicle’s location and deck before leaving.
• Access to vehicle decks is prohibited during voyages.
• Smoking on vehicle decks, in cabins, and lounges is forbidden.
• Wait for announcements before returning to vehicles. Engines must remain off until instructed.

Grandi Navi Veloci (fleet), founded in 1992 and headquartered in Genoa, Italy, operates routes between mainland Italy, Sardinia, Sicily, Albania, France, Morocco, and Tunisia.
