MS Danubia Review
Review of MS Danubia
The 1980-built MS Danubia cruise ship operates on Europe’s second-longest river, the Danube (after Russia’s Volga River).
The riverboat underwent an extensive drydock refurbishment in 2007. Her cruise itineraries include Danube River ports in Hungary, Slovakia, and Germany.

Cabins
MS Danubia offers a total of 71 passenger cabins, all located outside and identically designed, each measuring 10 m² (110 ft²) with partially opening windows (upper section only).
All accommodations feature two lower beds (convertible to sofas during the day), a private bathroom with shower and WC, adjustable air-conditioning, a writing desk, TV, telephone, and a personal safe.
The vessel has three decks, two of which contain passenger cabins.
Shipboard Facilities
MS Danubia features a single-seating restaurant, a lounge with a bar, and a partially covered Sun Deck. Guests can relax on the Sun Deck and enjoy panoramic river views from comfortable deck chairs. Meals are served in the restaurant on B-Deck, where early risers can enjoy light morning snacks, followed by a buffet breakfast. Lunch is offered either as a set menu or buffet, while dinners are five-course gourmet meals accompanied by complimentary regional wines. Fresh, locally sourced produce is used throughout. Passengers can also enjoy afternoon tea and cakes, or a late-night snack.
