Amadeus Diamond

The 2009-built MS Amadeus Diamond cruise ship is a 150-passenger riverboat owned by the Austrian company and shipowner Luftner Cruises and operated via the Luftner-owned travel brand Amadeus River Cruises.

The ship is often chartered by the German cruisetour company Phoenix Reisen.

Amadeus Diamond was fully refurbished in 2019.

Diamond's sisterships are the fleetmates Amadeus Elegant (2010) and Amadeus Brilliant (2011).

The vessel (ENI number 2326715) is currently Germany-flagged (MMSI 211443640) and registered in Cologne.

Cabins

MS Amadeus Diamond has 74 staterooms and four decks: the Sun Deck and three passenger decks named after famous Austrian composers—Haydn, Mozart, and Strauss.

The riverboat features 62 standard cabins (160 ft² / 15 m²), most with French balconies and panoramic windows.

The 12 suites, located on the 3rd (Mozart) Deck, measure 235 ft² (22 m²) and all have French balconies.

All accommodations offer twin beds that can convert into queen beds, along with showers, seating areas, wardrobes, TVs, and phones. Suites also include minibars.

Shipboard Facilities

Guests can relax on the Sun Deck, enjoying scenic views from deck chairs or practicing on the putting green. MS Amadeus Diamond also features a giant chessboard and shuffleboard.

Meals are served in the Panorama Restaurant on the Mozart Deck. Guests can enjoy early morning light bites, followed by a buffet breakfast. Lunch is offered either as a sit-down meal or buffet-style, while dinner is a five-course gourmet experience with complimentary regional wines. All ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Afternoon tea and cake, as well as a midnight snack service, are also available.

Additional onboard amenities include massage services, a hairdresser, a fitness room, an Internet station, and both Panorama and Lido bars. During shore excursions, passengers have access to complimentary bicycles and wireless audio systems.
