Review of MS Elegant Lady
MS Elegant Lady cruise ship is owned by Union Group (Bulgaria) and operated by its subsidiary company Dunav Tours. The vessel cruises on the Rhine, Main, Moselle, and Danube rivers. The ship (ENI number 08923003) is Bulgaria-flagged (MMSI 207072229) and is currently operated under a five-year charter by the German company Plantours Kreuzfahrten (2019–2024).
Elegant Lady’s outdoor Sky Bar (on the Sun Deck) and indoor Winter Garden offer ample space for relaxation. A gym area with fitness equipment is located in the open-air Sky Lounge. The main Restaurant accommodates 130 guests and serves international cuisine as well as traditional Bulgarian specialties. The Sun Deck features a Conservatory and the open-air Sky Bar with 130 seats, deckchairs, and four-seat tables, providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the passing riverside scenery. The spacious observation lounge ensures unobstructed views of the picturesque cities and landscapes—an ideal spot to watch the sunset and end the day with a refreshing cocktail.
The ship also features a cozy library with a fireplace, a Coffee Station offering complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks, a Boutique (souvenir shop), and wireless Internet access. Elegant Lady cruise tour packages are all-inclusive, with drinks available between 8 a.m. and midnight. Tea and coffee are complimentary and available 24 hours a day.
Cabins
The ship has 64 cabins—34 on the Main Deck and 30 on the Upper Deck. Following the 2017 refurbishment, all Upper Deck cabins were upgraded with French balconies.
All staterooms are outward-facing, elegantly furnished, and equal in size (14 m² / 150 ft²). Cabin amenities include a flat-screen TV, telephone, en-suite bathroom (with WC, shower, washbasin, and hairdryer), wardrobe, electronic safe (in the closet), and individually controlled air conditioning. The cabin decks are connected by stairs and one passenger elevator.

DUNAV TOURS company history
The shipowner DUNAV TOURS is a Bulgarian river cruise company and the successor of Balkantourist, founded in 1948 to manage premium hotels in Bulgaria.
- In October 1983, Balkantourist purchased two luxury riverboats (MS Rousse and MS Sofia) built by Shipyard Kooiman Hoebee BV (Dordrecht, Holland). Bulgarian river cruise operations officially began on April 26, 1984.
- In 1991, Balkantourist was renamed DUNAV TOURS, and in August 1999 the company was privatized, with Union Group becoming the sole proprietor (holding 96% of the shares since 2012).
- In February 2003, the newbuild MS Rousse Prestige was launched (constructed by Merwede Shipyard BV in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Holland). Her inaugural cruise season began from Rotterdam on March 18, 2003.
- In 2006, the company acquired MS Heinrich Heine (extensively renovated in 2005), featuring a sundeck swimming pool.
- In December 2006, MS Elegant Lady was added to the fleet.
