As a cruise ferry, Moby Kiss has no passenger cabins due to the route’s short crossing time. Instead, the ship offers a Seating Lounge equipped with large TVs and reclining Pullman seats (comfortable, fully reclining armchairs). Reserved seats can be booked both online and onboard (at the ship’s Reception Desk, subject to availability).

Moby Kiss ferry Wiki

The ship entered service in February 1975 for the Danish company Mols Linien, operating for 21 years on the ferry route Ebeltoft (Denmark)–Kalundborg (Zealand Island, Holland). The vessel was built by Helsingør Skibsværft og Maskinbyggeri (in Helsingør/Elsinore, Denmark), under hull/yard number 405. Her powerplant consists of MAN marine diesel engines (model 6S50HU) with a total power output of 10.88 MW.

In November 1996, the ship was acquired by the Moroccan shipping company Comarit, renamed Banasa, and deployed on the Algeciras–Tangier route.

In 2012, due to Comarit’s financial difficulties, the ferry was seized in Algeciras, auctioned in May 2015, and sold for scrap with demolition scheduled for August in Aliaga, Turkey. However, just before scrapping, the vessel was purchased by European Seaways. Renamed Galaxy (October 2015), she was towed to Perama (Piraeus, Greece) and laid up until December. Subsequently, the ship was acquired by Moby Lines and towed to Palumbo Malta Shipyard for drydock refit and refurbishment.

In June 2016, the vessel entered service for Moby Lines as Moby Kiss, operating on the LivornoBastia (Corsica) route. In March 2017, she was reassigned to the PiombinoPortoferraio (Elba Island) service.
