Denia Ciutat Creativa ferry

MV Denia Ciutat Creativa is a Ro-Ro passenger ferry owned and operated by the Spanish company BALEARIA. The ship has a maximum capacity of 399 passengers and 120 cars. Launched in 1992, the vessel currently serves the ferry route Barcelona-Ciutadella (crossing time ~4 hours).

Cabins

As a cruise ferry, Denia Ciutat Creativa offers 3-berth cabins (2 twin beds + 1 bunk bed). All staterooms are air-conditioned and feature en-suite bathrooms. Bed linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. The ship also has wheelchair-accessible cabins designed for passengers with reduced mobility.

The Reserved Seating Lounge (Neptune Lounge) features a large TV and comfortable, fully reclining leather Pullman chairs. Reserved seating is available for pre-booking and includes complimentary beverages (tea, coffee, soft drinks). The Lobby Bar Lounge is furnished with leather sofas, chairs, and round tables.

All passengers must vacate their cabins 30 minutes before arrival at the homeport.

• Accessibility: 6 accessible cabins (2 with 2-berth layout), adapted restrooms in all common areas, 5 reserved lounge seats, 2 wheelchair anchorage points, and elevators connecting all decks.
• Spa & Beauty Salon: massages and beauty treatments.
• Solarium: sunbathing area on the sundeck.

Pet Cages: When booking, the type of pet cage must be specified. Two cage sizes are available—small (max height 50–75 cm, pets under 30 kg) and large (max height 70–90 cm, pets over 30 kg). Passengers may bring their own pet carriers. Cage prices range from EUR 3–10 per trip depending on the route. A valid pet health card is required. Pets must remain in cages/carriers at all times. Dogs must be leashed and muzzled during boarding and disembarkation. Passengers with pets disembark last.

Entreolas by Balearia is a complimentary onboard magazine covering travel, lifestyle, culture, sports, fashion, music, cuisine, and company news. Wi-Fi and Internet are available for a fee. Mobile phone chargers and iPad rentals are offered.

All Balearia ships are equipped with CCTV surveillance. Smoking is prohibited indoors.

Car Decks

Vehicles must have valid documentation and insurance. Bringing the car’s technical data sheet is recommended for faster boarding. The vehicle's model, length, and height must be provided at booking. Car passengers must arrive at the port 90 minutes before departure.

All Balearia vessels have designated bike holds. Bicycles, mopeds, and motorbikes (up to 125 ccs) travel free of charge, but must be indicated at the time of booking.

Special vehicles over 3 meters in height must be booked through Balearia's Call Center (902 160 180).

Car Deck Safety Procedures:

• Disabled passengers or those needing assistance should visit the Information Desk.
• Apply the handbrake, leave the vehicle in park or first gear, turn off the ignition, headlights, alarms, and electrical systems. Shut off gas cylinders, if applicable, and lock the vehicle.
• Take only valuables and essential hand luggage.
• Note the location of your vehicle and the garage/stairway number before leaving the deck.
• Access to the car decks during the voyage is prohibited.
• Smoking is not allowed on car decks, in cabins, or in lounges.
• Wait for the official onboard announcement before returning to your vehicle.
• To avoid pollution, do not start the engine until instructed.
