MS River Adagio cruise ship entered service for GCCL-Grand Circle Cruise Line in 2003. The vessel (ENI number 07000183) was specifically designed to navigate Danube River's widest part all the way to the Black Sea. The shipowner is Grand Circle Corporation via its subsidiary company Grand Circle Travel USA (Boston MA-headquartered travel agency).
The 164-passenger riverboat has 4 decks (3 with cabins) and 82 staterooms (equally-sized 15 m2 / 160 ft2). All cabins are outside, with double occupancy (2 twin beds), electronic safe box (in the closet), en-suite bathroom (with WC-shower, hairdryer), individual air-conditioning, direct-dial phone (intercom), flat TV (satellite reception).
With length 125 m, this riverboat is one of the largest in the Grand Circle’s fleet. It features a bar lounge, forward panoramic Salon with floor-ceiling windows and reception hall with dining room (single open seating) and library.
