MS Moby Dada is a Ro-Ro passenger ferry operated by the Italian company MOBY LINES. The ship has a maximum capacity of 1,638 passengers and 500 cars. Launched in 1981, she currently operates on the Mediterranean (France–Corsica) route Nice–Bastia (crossing time 5 hours).
Cabins
As a cruise ferry, Moby Dada offers air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms (WC, shower, hairdryer). The ferry company provides bed linens, towels, and toiletries. The ship also has wheelchair-accessible cabins adapted for disabled passengers.

- Meals are prepared with locally sourced ingredients, offering traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The buffet restaurant serves several freshly cooked dishes daily.
- Video Games Room – a teen area with arcade machines.
- Children’s World – a playroom with toys, games, indoor climbers, and a full-size toy boat.
- Moby Shopping Center – a boutique and general store selling gifts, souvenirs, alcohol, tobacco, perfumes, cosmetics, clothing, sportswear, toiletries, electronics, toys, books, and magazines.
- Sun Deck (Solarium) – an open-air top deck with access to the Navigation Bridge (forward) and officers’ quarters.
- Wi-Fi and Internet are available at an additional cost. Mobile phone chargers and iPad rentals are also offered.
The ship has kennels for pets. Valid health documents are required. During embarkation and disembarkation, dogs must be leashed and muzzled. Passengers traveling with pets disembark last.
All Moby Lines ships are equipped with CCTV cameras for security recording. Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Looney Tunes characters and branding are featured throughout all Moby ferries as part of the company’s partnership with Warner Bros.
Car decks
All vehicles must have valid documentation and insurance. Carrying the car’s technical data sheet helps with boarding checks. When booking, the vehicle’s model, length, and height must be specified. Car passengers should arrive at the departure port 90 minutes before departure.

Car deck safety procedures:
- Passengers with disabilities or special needs should contact the ship’s Information Desk.
- Apply the handbrake and place the vehicle in park or first gear. Turn off the ignition, alarm, electrical devices, and headlights. Gas cylinders must be closed. Lock the vehicle.
- Take only valuables and essential hand baggage with you.
- Note your vehicle’s location, deck number, and stairway before leaving the car deck.
- Access to vehicle decks during the voyage is prohibited.
- Smoking is not permitted on vehicle decks, in cabins, or in passenger lounges.
- Wait for the onboard announcement before returning to your vehicle.
- To prevent air pollution, do not start the engine until instructed.

The ferry is operated by Moby Lines under charter from DFDS Seaways. She joined the Moby fleet in November 2016. Previously, the vessel operated under the names Finlandia (1981-1990 by Effoa), Queen of Scandinavia (1990-2010 by DFDS Seaways), Princess Maria (2010-2016 by St Peter Line), and Moby Dada (since 2016 by Moby Lines).
The vessel was built by Wartsila Marine Perno Shipyard in Turku, Finland, under hull/yard number 1251. Her powerplant consists of Wartsila marine diesel engines (model 12PC2-5V-400) with a total output of 22.94 MW.
Initially, she served the Helsinki–Stockholm route for Silja Line (Tallink). In 1990, the ship was acquired by DFDS and renamed Queen of Scandinavia. Between 2010 and 2016, the ferry was chartered to St Peter Line, renamed Princess Maria, and operated on the Helsinki–St Petersburg (Russia) route.
In February 2014, the ferry was chartered as a hotel ship during the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, together with her fleetmate Princess Anastasia.
The ship’s hull and superstructure are painted with Looney Tunes characters, featuring a predominantly red port side and a predominantly blue starboard side.
