Baltic Princess ferry

MS Baltic Princess ferry is a Ro-Ro passenger vessel operated by the Estonia-based company TALLINK-SILJA LINE. The ship has a maximum capacity of 2,800 passengers, 600 cars, and 75 trucks/trailers. Launched in 2008, the vessel currently operates on the Sweden–Finland ferry route Stockholm–Aland Finland (Mariehamn)–Turku, with a crossing time of 10.5 hours.

Cabins

As a cruise ferry, Baltic Princess has 927 cabins (double and quad, max capacity 4 passengers) with a total of 2,500 berths, located on Decks 5, 8, and 9. All staterooms are air-conditioned, feature en-suite bathrooms, and come in both inside and outside categories. The ferry company provides bed linens, towels, and toiletries. Some staterooms are wheelchair-accessible (adapted for disabled passengers). Cabins for passengers with allergies and those traveling with pets are also available.

All cabins are equipped with wall-mounted bunk beds, en-suite bathrooms (angled sink, wall-mounted toilet, shower cubicle, hairdryer). A baby crib and potty (1 per cabin), as well as bed rails (2 per cabin), are available complimentary upon request. Room service can be ordered up to 4 days prior to departure.

Cabin categories include:

• (Deck 9) Executive Suite / double cabin (26–31 m², with balcony) – double bed, sofa, armchairs, WC, shower, TV, refrigerator, complimentary minibar, phone. Special in-cabin breakfast and refreshments (soft drinks and fruits) are included in the "Europa 22 hour" mini-cruise fares.
• (Decks 8–9) Junior Suite / double cabin (26–31 m²) – slanted windows, separate bedroom, sofa, double bed, armchairs, WC, shower, TV, minibar, mirrored vanity table (writing desk with stool), refrigerator, phone. Includes in-cabin breakfast and refreshments.
• (Decks 8–9) Deluxe / double cabin (11–14 m²) – windows, double bed (non-convertible), sofa, WC, shower, TV, phone, refrigerator, complimentary minibar. Includes in-cabin breakfast and soft drinks.
• (Decks 8–9) Premium Cabin (Double Outside, 9 m²) – porthole window, double bed (non-convertible), WC, shower, TV, mirrored vanity table (writing desk with stool), refrigerator. Special breakfast included.
• (Deck 5) Family Cabins (2 connecting inside cabins, capacity 4–8 passengers) – 2 porthole windows, 2 bathrooms (WC, shower), 2 lower bunk beds, 4 upper bunk beds, 2 sofa beds, 2 TVs.
• (Decks 5, 8, 9) A-Class Cabin (Quad Outside, 9–10 m²) – porthole window, 1 lower bunk bed, 1 sofa bed, 2 upper bunk beds, WC, shower, TV. Allergy-friendly cabins available.
• (Decks 5, 8, 9) B-Class and E-Class Cabin (Quad Inside, 9 m²) – no window, 1 lower bunk bed, 1 sofa bed, 2 upper bunk beds, WC, shower. Some cabins are adapted for allergy-sensitive passengers and those traveling with pets.
• (Deck 5) Allergy Cabins are available in Family (4), A-Class (9), and B-Class (17) categories – each with WC, shower, TV.
• (Deck 5) Handicap Cabins (A-Class Outside, 13 m²) – 2 fixed lower beds, WC, shower, TV, and wider doors for wheelchair access.
• (Deck 5) Pet Cabins (capacity 2–4 persons) – WC, shower, TV, linoleum flooring. Available in A-Class, B-Class, and C-Class categories.
• Most staff and crew cabins are located on Deck 2.

All passengers must vacate their staterooms 30 minutes prior to homeport arrival. Passenger registration closes 1 hour before ferry departure.

Midship on the top deck (Heli Deck 12) is a helipad, used for emergency landings.

Emergency instructions are displayed in staterooms, on TV screens, and at assembly (muster) stations. Life jackets are issued at muster stations. Elevators are not to be used during emergencies.

TALLINK-SILJA LINE deals

• 2-day "Europa 22 hour" mini-cruise deals are available on shuttle ferries departing Helsinki (8 am) to Tallinn (arrival 12:10 pm the next day).
• Room service with à la carte menus for gifts, sweets, and beverages is available on all ships (except shuttle ferries). Orders must be placed 4 days in advance.
• Conference rooms are equipped with projectors and white screens. Group bookings (min. 10 people, min. 2 hours) incur additional charges. Catering (snacks, buffet meals, refreshments) is available.
• Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas, including cabins, lounges, and stairwells. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
• "Collect and Save" program: earn 1 sticker per €10 spent onboard (all ships), redeemable for selected discounted products (after collecting 10, 20, or 30 stickers). Redeemable at Info Stand or onboard shops. Offers are time-limited and subject to stock.
• "Club One" loyalty program: earns bonus points on ferry tickets, onboard purchases, and Tallink Hotel bookings. Tiers include Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Benefits include discounts on bookings, shopping, dining, hotels (Tallinn, Riga), taxis (Tallink Takso), and Helsinki parking (Europark).

Car decks

Garage Decks are 3 and 4. Deck 1 houses the Engine Room (extending to Deck 2) and technical spaces. Deck 2 includes the Spa (Sauna Rooms, Pool), technical rooms, crew cabins and facilities (dining/lounge, mess), and the Brig (ship jail). Car Deck 4 features a hydraulic platform that, when lowered, doubles the deck’s capacity for passenger vehicles.

Car deck safety procedures include:

• Passengers requiring assistance should contact the 24-hour Information Desk.
• Apply handbrake, leave vehicle in park or 1st gear, turn off ignition, alarms, electronics, and lights. Shut off gas cylinders. Lock the vehicle.
• Take only valuables and essential hand luggage.
• Note your vehicle's location and deck/stairway number before leaving the garage deck.
• Access to vehicle decks during the voyage is prohibited.
• Smoking is prohibited on vehicle decks and in all indoor areas.
• Wait for announcements before returning to your vehicle.
• Do not start the engine until instructed, to avoid air pollution.
